Welcome to the 3rd Annual Kingston Sailing Ping. June 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2000. We seem to add a day every year - let's stop that this year K? :-)We have run into a small snag this year seeing as the Tall Ships will be out of town taking part in a huge sailpast in Boston. We will still get out on the water to partake in the sunshine and beauty of Kingston though. There are a number of people coming in on Friday night. A central meeting place is of course The Oak. We may do a haunted City Walk that night at 8:00pm - let me know if you are interested. Saturday, some people will met at The Oak for lunch or a pre-sail cocktail (ie-beer). We need to meet in Confederation Park by 12:30 to get to the boats and on the water by no later than 1:00pm so we can get the most out of our afternoon. We will stay out until 3:30ish at the latest, so we can be back to the Pub for 4:00 when the Ping is due to start! whoooohoooooo Now.... this is not an overly organized Ping. There are a couple of games / quiz's - have to have them to give away cool prizes. There will be a 50 / 50 draw to help cover some of the costs. But.... There will also be some cool prizes from Boddingtons Brewery that are up for grabs for whatever I decide to give them away for. There are also many other attractions which I need not need to go into here ;-) One of the best parts of the Ping in '99 was watching the Omnibus together. We had a special reason last year, the wedding of Roy and Haley and we had a funny hat and tie contest. This year we won't have a theme due to what is actually happening that weekend here in Canada. But... the thrill of sitting with 35 other fans of one of your fav shows is not to be missed! The wait-staff at the Pub still laugh when they remember the chatter during the commercials and the total silence (almost - we all have kids LOL) during the show

I am working on a shirt for the
Ping. I was thinking of having something like this on the
back. What do you think?
