Do you believe your web site deserves to be awarded? If so, that's where I come in. My awards were created to acknowledge the hard work and effort it takes to create a great page. These awards are hardly given out to all that apply. If you do not hear from me within 1 month, you may reapply only if you have updated your page since applying the first time!
There are four different awards given based on the following criteria:
- Design
- Beauty
- Originality
- Content
- Navigation
Each category will get a rating between 1 and 5 stars, and the overall rating will determine if your site deserves the award you've applied for. Please visit the winners list to get an idea of what I'm looking for. And do not forget to read through the individual guidelines for each award, because the higher the award you apply for, the harsher I will be when judging your site. The awards are listed in order below.
Individual Guidelines - Excellence and Beauty Award
- Since this is the highest award I give out, your site must be impressive!
- I don't want to see the same basic graphics I see over and over again. Be original and creative! Graphics must be pleasing to the eye, no clashing with text!
- Site must be easily viewable with both 640x480 and 800x600 resolutions.
- Site must show good use of HTML (design and page setup must be good).
- Site navigation must make it easy to get around within your site, not confusing.
- If using graphics that require you give credit to someone, please do so.
- Sound must have a way to turn on and off.
- Please don't use javascript pop-ups, they are of no use.
- Sites using frames should also have an optional 'no frames' page. If not, your frames should be set up very well as to be viewed by all browsers and all size screens.
- No sites that are 'under construction.'
- No broken images or dead links.
- I will allow a reasonable time for site to load, if it loads slow it should be worth the wait! Don't overload your pages with unnecessary graphics.
- If using border backgrounds, your text and graphics should NOT overlap when viewed at 640x480!
- Site must have good content, enough to hold the visitors attention for more than a few minutes and possibly make them want to return.
- Your site must be in good taste! Absolutely no pornography, bad language, satanic sites, etc...
Individual Guidelines - Excellence Award
- This award is considerably easier to win than the excellence and beauty award, but your site must still meet these guidelines! Excellence in design will be judged higher than beauty!
- Graphics must not clash with text or look tacky! Keep them nice and neat!
- Site's design (page setup, use of HTML) must be good. If made for an 800x600 resolution, it still should be viewable with 640x480!
- Site navigation must not be confusing! I want to easily be able to find where I want to go!
- No sites that are 'under construction.'
- Sound should have a way to turn on and off.
- Please don't use javascript pop-ups, they are of no use.

- Site should load in a reasonable amount of time.

Individual Guidelines - Great Site Award
- If you don't feel your site qualifies for my awards of excellence, you could win this award!
- Site should not be under construction.
- Navigation should not be confusing. I want to be able to easily find my way around your site.
- No main images or links should be broken or dead.
- Site should not be overloaded with frames.
- If using border backgrounds, your text and graphics should NOT overlap when viewed at 640x480!
Individual Guidelines - Great Links Award
- This award is for pages that consist mainly of links to other sites (must contain at least 10 links).
- Site must have a nice layout.
- You must state what the purpose is of the links you are providing. (Why should people visit these links?)
- Site should not be overloaded with frames.
- If using border backgrounds, your text and graphics should NOT overlap when viewed at 640x480!
- Site should load in a reasonable amount of time.
- Your site must be in good taste! Absolutely no pornography, bad language, satanic sites, etc...
