Oh my goodness, it has been a long time since I have updated this page, LOL. Now I have had the opportunity to do so and I have made some changes. My grandpa was a teacher for many years. He is a father, grandfather, uncle, an in-law. My grandpa, C. V. Fox, a fine man he will always remain in my heart, is now suffering from Alzhiemer's Disease and is in a nursing home in New Mexico, only minutes away from his daughter's (Mary Fox-Lawrence) home. He will be ninety years old this year this coming summer in July.
Grandpa is a former resident of Redgranite, Wisconsin, where some of his family still live and in the nearby towns surrounding Redgranite, Wisconsin. Today, as a project I find worth doing, I am working on writing a story about my grandpa's life, some time before I was born to the present time. Someday, as we don't always know it, memories do eventually die unless you find the right people to help keep the memories. I have many fond memories of Grandpa as I was growing up. I have three relatives: three siblings of grandpa's and one neice of his to help me get some memories together and so far I have gotten an okay as far as getting some memoirs still in the works written for my book of my grandpa. I don't feel I have to keep the memories alive of my grandpa. I just want to and it is something that will be a meaningful project in the long run, even if I am still working on the project after he dies. The book will be dedicated to my grandfather and those who are willing to help me get some memories together will be also noted in my book.
