David, with only his faith to protect him, picked up his humble sling and killed the mighty Goliath. The Israelites must have thought him crazy as he alone entered the challenge made by Goliath. But in the end, they stood in amazement, and the Philistines in utter disbelief and fright, for by faith the power of God was shown through a young shepherd boy and his sling.
We all have our sling and we must use it when the proper time comes. We can't be afraid or worry about what others say. Not many people supported David as he walked out into battle. His own brother told him to go home. But he didn't. As long as we put our faith and trust in God, and our cause is righteous, then nothing can stand in the way of the will of Lord. His will be done.
By faith, we can move mountains and kill giants. It's time to pick up our sling and run into battle! Amen.
