Just Friends

A friend is better than nothing,

this i know is true.

Somewhere in my life,

I know, I do want you.

It's hard for me to accept,

it's hard for me to see.

You, with, another guy,

anyone but me.

This I have to learn,

to accept and understand.

As friends I'll always be there,

to lend a helping hand.

I hope and pray, everyday,

I can prove to you.

I know just what, I did do wrong,

And what I've got to do.

This will be, hard for me,

it'll be the ultimate test.

To show you that my love,

never, stops to rest.

My love for you, always grows,

it will, until the end.

But right now I'll settle,

for you, just as my friend.
