IT experience
I have worked in different computing environments: SUN running SunOS, DECstations running ULTRIX, PCs (running Dos, Windows 3.XX, 95 & NT 4.0), IBM 3090 running VM/CMS , VAXstations running VAX/VMS, Parcytec Gcel 3/512 running PARIX (UNIX extension to allow for parallel processing).
During my studies I gained valuable experience in a variety of IT issues including Operating Systems, Data Bases, Computer Networks, Digital Image Processing, Information Systems, Advanced Parallel Systems, Neural Networks, Pattern Recognition, Expert Systems and Simulation.

Work Experience
| Feb 1998 - Today: | Working with Experian-Scorex as a consultant (Credit Risk). Involved in a variety of projects with banks and other credit granting institutions in Greece, Cyprus and Europe. |

| May 1995 - Sep 1995: | For my MSc thesis I worked for Forward Trust Ltd, Midland Group, Birmingham, UK. An automated tool for scorecard building and testing was designed and implemented using SAS software. The tool was developed for the Credit Risk department. |
Teaching experience
During both my university studies and my army duty I have taught DOS, Windows, MsOffice to children and adults.
Publications
My university dissertation (February 1994 - July 1994) led to a publication under the title :
"Parallel text retrieval on a high performance supercomputer using the vector space model"
and deals with the use of high performance massively parallel computers for scoring and ranking a large collection of documents given a specific query (SIGIR '95 Seattle WA USA (c) 1995 ACM 0-89791-714-6/95/07.53.50. Co-authors: P.Efraimidis, V.Mamalis, V.Tampakas, P.Spirakis).
Other Interests
Sports especially football, basketball, cycling. Additionally, interested in foreign languages & cultures, internet, chess (ELO 1695, in 1988), reading and traveling.
