I missed you dearly though you hadn't yet gone
Or where you at that time leaving.
All that was left was to say goodbye and see you on your journey.
I hoped that you would visit me from time to time as you may
For the thought of you in my own mind wished for you to say
that your time with me was good to you
that is made you what you are
and that it meant as much to you
as it did to so many to whom you gave joy

You had left to go already but I felt your tail go by
You seemed to say that your time had come
that time was served and we should not fear
for your purpose was fulfilled.
So go now little one, be free and unrepentent
I shall miss you now for a time
and time will pass and pass away
until I see you soon again.

Cheeky the Cat 1988 - 15-August 2001 we miss her dearly

Cheeky is about nine years old. She was originaly a stray cat and she wandered into my garden one day... and stayed. Rumour had it that she was dumped in the area the night before. She was a few months old at the time.

She has great character and has a mischevious look about her, hence the name, Cheeky. She rules the house with a cotton claw and is secure enough in her seniority to not bother with social elements, but the dog IS afraid of her! Lately she has taken to comandering any available lap space, witch can get annoying at times, especially dinner times, but she has such a lovely soothing purr ya just can't stay annoyed. She loves to sun-bathe and can frequently be found sunning herself by the window, on-top of all the freshly dried clothes, especially my black t-shirts!!!

This was too cute to leave out!As you can see she has a lot of character. She did this continuously for aboutr 30 minutes and manged to catch the string 5 times! A hell of a back flip though.
There are no points for guessing why we called her Cheeky. Just look at that face!I know she understands English, but she doesn't speak it. Not that she needs to as she has taught me to speak CAT instead! She'll hold whole conversations when greeted!

On the 15 August 2001 at approximately 3pm, poor little Cheeky died of kidney failure. she was just over 13 years old. She was a pleasant pet and my firned and I shall miss her a great deal.

Mini the Cat
Mini is hard to define... probably due to a traumatic childhood or something! She was also a stray and was rescued from being abused by some children in some lane way... She is a beautiful cat, definitely with some pedigree. She has a sleek coat and saucer eyes and a very slender body. However, she is insanely stupid!!! I have never seen a cat sit for so long with it's tongue sticking out, she must zone out or something, I don't know. But as it turns out she is alergic to something, we don't know what, but has to be kept on medication for life now so that she doesn't keep scratching herself bald. She has recovered now but as a result of the medication she has put on weight but since she was so thin it doesn't show much but now she looks like she's carying kittens! but she's such a lovely kitty!
When we got her she had to be house trained! This was made all the more unpleasant due to a bloody discharge!!! Oh my oh my, how many visits to the vet did that cause!?!? She's grand now and as happy as any cat could expect to be.

She has a strange kind of freindship with Sandy. They play chasing quite a lot with each giving chase to the other. It's quite funny to watch. She's a bit of a bully though and will sometimes pick fights with Cheeky. There's kind of a battle for dominace going on there.. but the truth is that cheekly probably couldn't give a shit!

I just couldn't leave this one out, this is Mini trying to swallow her head! lol
