PAM TILLIS

I had to make a page for what I think is one of the best
female country singers that there ever was. She sings with
alot of feeling and meaning in them. Alot of her songs have
                                     touched my heart.

                                                    1)  SHAKE THE SUGAR TREE
                                                              1992 Chapin Hartford

Love, you're gettin' lazy. You're forgettin' to give me,
Sweet sugar words that I want to hear. You've been
neglectin' me. You know jealousy, it is bitter as a green
spring berry. Just like fruit from a fickle vine, you turn
sweet in the nick of time. Love, you only come alive
when your losin' me. And it's a childish game. I'v got
to shake you up just to wake you up. to make you
                                             love me.
                                             (chorus)
I'll shake the sugar tree, till I feel your love fallen all
around me. You've got to tend to what you planted
and if you take my love for granted baby I'll shake
                                             the sugar tree.
Another night and your sleepin', I'm awake and I'm
dreamin', Oh honey bout the way that it use to be.
A little times gone by, do you think that I'm content
With the cookin' and the payin' of rent, No, I wanna
Know if your loves all spent.
                                              (chorus)

.
                                                  2) LET THAT PONY Run
                                                          1993 Gretchen Peters

Mary was married with children. Had the perfect suburban.
'Til her husband came clean with the help of Jim Beam.
And confessed all his sins one night. Said he'd fallen in love
With a barmaid. Said he made him feel reckless and young.
And when he got though, what else could she do. She just
                                          Let that pony run.
You do what you gotta do, and you know what you know,
And you hang on till you can't hang on then you learn to
                                          Let go.
You get what you want sometimes, but when it's all said
And done, you do what you gotta do and then you let that
                                          Pony run.
Mary moved to West Virginia, after the shock wore off.
She got a divorce and a chestnut horse, and a barn with
                                          An old hayloft.
And sometimes she rides by the river, says it makes her
                                          feel restless and young.
She closes her eyes and she holds on tight and she lets
                                          That pony run.

                                                    3) MY VIDA LOCA(my crazy life)
                                                             1994 Pam Tillis, Jess Leary

If you're coming with me you need nerves of steel.
'Cause I take corners on two wheels.
It's a never- ending cirus ride.
The faint of heart need not apply.
                                           (chorus)
Mi vida loca over and over
                                           Destiny turns on a dime
I go where the wind blows
You can't tame a  wild rose
                                           Welcome to my crazy.
Sweetheart before this night is through
I could fall in love with you.
Come dancing on the edge with me
Let my passion set you free.
                                           (chorus)
Here in the firelight I see your tatoo
Mivida loco, so your crazy too.
                                           (chorus)
We'll go where the wind blows
And I'll be a wild rose
                                           Welcome to my crazy life.
