Creating Pages: Advanced HTML Editor

5. Click on the "Create New HTML File" button. After you do so, you'll be brought to another page which appears similar to the one in the screen shot below.

6. Give a name to the HTML file you're going to create. Then type that name on the box that asks for the filename. Remember to place a .htm or a .html extension after the name of you give. An example would be tutor.htm . Another would be tutor.html .

7. The big box below the smaller box that asks for the file name is where you could type the HTML code of your new page. This is the time for you to use your knowledge of HTML. After you are finished, click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.

TIP If you want to view how your HTML page looks like after you have edited it but before you have saved it, you could click on the "Preview" button.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a HTML file. Now that you know how to create pages, we hope that you'll continue expanding your GeoCities homestead.
