What kind of societies there are in the world today?
The jahili (ignorant) society is any society other than the Muslim society; to be more specific, it's a society that doesn't dedicate itself to the submission to Allah (SWT) alone. In practice it means this society doesn't submit to Allah (SWT) in its beliefs and ideas, in its legal regulations, in its worship, in everything! If we go by this definition, then all the societies in the world are jahili. Communists deny Allah's (SWT) existence in totality. For communists there's only the Communist party which has the power over all things in that unfortunate country. Communism doesn't allow a person to have spiritual needs. Communists take care of the basic needs but so do animals! During the existence of Soviet Union (nowadays known as Russia) people were denied to practise any religion and people either followed this order or worshipped in secret. After the collapse of Soviet Union many little countries got their independence and now they're free. Many of these countries are small Muslim populated Middle Asian lands. There's Kazakstan, Kirghizia, and several others. The need for worship was huge during those old times and now these people can freely be Muslims. Allahu Akbar! Sabr (patience) is being rewarded!
Other not-even-close-to-Muslim-society are idolatrous societies such as India, Africa and Japan. In these societies people believe in other gods besides Allah, The Only God (SWT). Their law isn't Shari'ah but some law made by men or even astrologers or magicians. We can also put jewish and christian societies under the label jahili socities. They commit shirk by thinking that Allah (SWT) could have a son or then they preach about trinity. They don't follow Shari'ah and they have rabbis and priests to tell them what to do in their religion. However, Allah (SWT), in His Infinite Greatness, is The Oft-Forgiving, The Most Merciful.
The worst is yet to come: there's no perfect Muslim society in today's world. They have relegated the legislative attribute of Allah (SWT) to others. There's no country where Shari'ah would be totally followed. Some "so called" Muslim countries promote secularism, i.e. a thought that the state and the religion should be separate. What kind of Muslim thinking is this? "Modern" people, also some Muslims, say they can't believe in what they can't see. "Modern" science provides all for them. Ha, I say! Someone had to create this world so that there can be science, someone had to make all the things possible before we humans can take our "modern" instruments and go discovering things. Some Great Force was there to create you, me and this planet, the whole Universe! You cannot deny Allah's (SWT) Miracles! Nothing can be created without The Creator nor would even a tiny flower if there was no one to make it happen first. Do you know better, or Allah? When you really think about it you know nothing when compared with Allah's knowledge!
Do you know why you are living? You are here today and now only to worship Allah (SWT). He (SWT) could have made you just a mindless robot which couldn't think by itself but you got a gift from Him (SWT), free will. You can decide whether you buy a gun and go shooting all your neighbours or you use your life, probably some 60-80 years, in worship. And if you think: "who cares what I do, I'll die anyway." I have something to say to you: there's another life after this one. And that life is eternal. Wrong-doers, sinners and so on will go to Hell but the True Believers will be granted Jinnatul Firdaus (Paradise). And that's worth striving for! Here's a few ayah (verse) from the Holy Qur'an: "Say, my Salat (prayers), my acts of devotion, my life and my death, are for The Sustainer of the Worlds; He has no associate. I have been commanded this, and I am the foremost to be among the submitters." (6:162-163)
Ashadu an laa ilaha ill Allaa ashadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah!!!
