The Dyer County Sheriffs Office currently has 4 Reserve Deputies assigned to the Patrol Division. These Deputies, while on duty, assist the full time Deputies in all aspects of thier duties as well as with the special assignments and functions of the Sheriffs Office. The Reserve Deputies wear the green and tan uniform and are Commissioned by the Sheriff. These Deputies provide a valuable service not only to the Sheriffs Office, but also to the citizens of Dyer County. The Deputies in the Reserve Program all provide their own uniforms and equipment to perform their duties. No taxpayer monies are used to provide or supplement any of these items. The Deputies are also required to be on duty a minumum of sixteen hours per month and also attend a minimum of forty hours of P.O.S.T. approved in-service training per year. The dedication of these Deputies show their pride for Dyer County and their genuine desire to help the Sheriffs Office provide a safe environment for family life.
