OOAKs

What does OOAK stand for? It stands for original one of a kind. It's a pretty common term, so common that you can search for it on sites like eBay. Almost all of my OOAKs are works in progress. I am not affiliated with Mattell, nor was I blessed with the fingers of a seamstress, but I try to make all my stitches even and small. Please remember that these are handmade OOAKs made by me. They are my creations and what may be perfect to me, may not be perfect for you. Please let me know if you would like more pictures or more information on the ones I am working on. Thank you!

This used to be a My Scene Madison. I did a partial repaint on her eyes, giving them a green rather than their normal blue. I gave the hair more body and added a few hair embellishments. Her outfit is all handmade. The dress is a simple tank dress with a faux fur trim and beading around the front of the neckline. The jacket is embellished with beading on the cuffs and hem to match the dress, but there are also pearl flowers on the sides.
This used to be a My Scene Barbie. I have given her a partial repaint changing the eyes to a lighter blue, as well as lightening the lip color. She is covered all over with an irridescent white to give her an Ice Queen appearance. Her outfit is made out of silver lame. The top is a handkerchief top with white beading around the edges and three bead strands hanging from the bottom. She wears a white faux fur and her skirt will have beading on the hem.
This used to be a My Scene Chelsea. I have given her a partial repaint, making her eyes green instead of brown. Her lips are shaded a deeper red, and she was given a light green eye shadow. Her dress has an Asian, but Roman feel to it. It has three flower "buttons" running from the shoulder down across the chest. I plan to add a bustle or tulle skirt to the bottom. Her hair is not complete, but contains a strand of beading and yellow embellishments. She also has handmade sandals in yellow.
This used to be a My Scene Chelsea. I have given her demon-like eyes. She has a Korean lettering tattoo on her right arm, as well as a tattoo on her belly. Her hair is long in the back with short bangs. She is called "Fallen Angel" right now, as she has handpainted black feather wings, as well as a silver halo. Her outfit is made out of silver lame, with a creme colored insert in both the skirt and the top. Tulle has been attached to the skirt. Her lips have been darkened to a dark red. All that's left is to figure out what to do with her hair and her shoes.
This used to be a damaged Casey. I have dyed her skin, re-rooted (incomplete) her with black hair and repainted the eyes and lips. She is on a repro Black France body, which explains why the colors of the head and body are slightly different.
This used to be a Malibu Christy from 1970. She arrived with a hair trim. I did a full repaint giving her light brown eyes with deep red/brown lips. I kind of like her hair this way and will probably not change it.
This used to be a red haired Midge. She arrived with fading face paint and very little hair. I have removed all the remnants of hair and have done a full facial repaint. She has dark blue eyes with pale pink lips. I gave her silver eye shadow for a more night out kind of look.
