My Weekly Rant !!

October 26th '97
Woo hoo !! Well here I am !! I made it !! I am at the traditional institution that they lovingly refer to as University !! How the heck did I get here ?? Good question !! Well as some of you will know, I was in the US for a year as an Au Pair ( a much nicer word than nanny, especially for a guy don't you think ?? ) and I got to University 3 weeks late, I have missed a few lectures and seminars but I am doing my best to catch up !!
Well I got home, saw my parents, brother and dog and stayed home for the weekend, yep after a year away I stayed home for a weekend and then drove the long ( 4 hours ) drive up to the University Of Hertfordshire which is where I now reside !! When I got here, all young and excited, I was so looking forward to getting settled in, only to find out that they had given away my room !! Not terribly good !! Anyway they gave me a room, I was told I would be sharing so imagine my surprise when I opened the door find only one bed and no room for another, anyway it turns out that they messed up and I'm not sharing so now I have my room, and the best thing is that it is the room DIRECTLY OPPOSITE the room that I was supposed to have which is just too freaky !!
Well now I have been here almost a week and I am doing fine !! I have settled in, unpacked a bit and made lots of friends, both in my halls of residence and on my course so a big shoutout goes out to everyone that I have met so far and have been so nice to me !!
Now I'm back to where I was before, catching up on missed work !! I have written up LOADS of lecture notes and I have more to go but it's got to be done, but I have also been to a few lectures now so I am getting there !! I also deem myself settled as I have only been here almost a week and I have already been to a party at the student union, gave someone a ride in a shopping trolley and been warned by security for having loud music !! Hehehehe it can only get more fun !
Now we all have the Halloween party to look forward to and I am stuck as to what to go as !! I have a few ideas, maybe the Crow ( the Brandon Lee movie ) or as the Riddler ( an excuse to dye my hair RED !! ) but if you have any better suggestions just drop me a line as I am open to anything, after all it IS a party !!
