What Is Love

Love is a habbit something we learn to need
Love is the fear of being alone
Love is a feeling of wanting to be needed
Love is the desire to be held and wanted
Love is something we tell ourselves we can
not live without
Love is but just a word said to those for
whom we care
Love is nothing more than that
And truly I Love You Dear

Hiding from the Night

I spend my days among the trees
so shiny and so green
The birds all sing the wind it
blows feeling so sereen
But when the night comes to call
so dark and forbiddin
I wrap my feelings in my heart
and try to keep them hiddin
I close my mind and dream of the
morning sun
Just trying to recall all of
sunshines fun
And in the morning when sunshine
returns my heart lights up so bright
I spend the reast of my day pertending
theres no night

Where Were You

I've been doing this for years
Loving grandmas and drying thier tears
They turn to me with all thier fears
And just where have you-all been my dears
I've been here through good days and bad
I've held her hand when she was sad
Seen her smile when she was glad
I've even been slapped when she was mad
The sad part is now she has gone home
To a place she is healthy and happy to roam
Just where were you when she needed
Something as simple as her hair combed
You were not here she was left to me
The face of a stranger was the last
For her to see.

My Heart

when i was small my heart was safe
held im my mothers hands
where love and kindness always live
and dark night had no plans
now my heart is my own and i have
not done so well
for in my heat is sadness of depths
i can not tell
