Buddha was not the originator of Buddhism but his students were
and started to glorify him as a god after his death! He himself never intended for this to happen, as we can
see in his quote here. Shortly before he died he made the statement, that he hadn't
found in live what he was looking for - (an inner peace and the fulfillment that only comes
through the filling out of the "God-shaped" void, which only the God of the Bible can do.)
Jesus died on the cross (and arose from the dead!) for the benefit of all mankind and welfare of His entire creation.
In other words: In the light of the word of God - Buddha answered his own question!
