My Weekly Rant !!

Well yeah I have finally managed to write another rant. I know I am slack but I warn you each and every time that just because it is called a weekly rant, doesn’t necessarily mean it will be changed weekly.
So you may be wondering what I am going to write about. Me too ! No I know really. I was going to write about age and stuff. You may or may not know but my birthday is fast approaching. I will soon be 23 years old. Yes I know, I don’t look a day over 17 but it is true. And so because of this (and the fact that I went home and found a whole bunch of baby photos) I thought I would write about my birthday.
Now of course as it is a birthday, I need to choose some presents. Now I can’t think of much that I want. I have ordered to new Barenaked Ladies album and also winging its way to me should be the new Fastball album too. I know I could have waited and requested these but I like them so much I couldn’t wait.
However I have decided to offer a plea to any multi million-dollar companies or directors of airline companies reading this, as I think a fantastic present would be for me to finally meet my pen pal Devon. Now some of you may already know about Devon, and at least one of you is guaranteed to be Devon, reading this, but for the rest, here is a little summary.
Devon and I have been writing to each other for 3 years and 2 months. It started off as a few e-mails, then progressed to more e-mails, snail mail letters, hours chatting on the internet and the phone, photos being exchanged and goodness knows what else. The only thing is, she lives in Canada and we have never met. Now this is really unfair when you learn about people who meet someone on the internet who lives halfway around the world and after 3 months meet up and marry or get murdered or something !
But we write and chat and plan one day to meet, especially as since I made my promise to meet net friends I have only actually managed to meet one person, not a terribly good track record for someone who has so many friends on the internet !
Anyway and so, send money and plane tickets and stuff for me. I think it would be a great birthday present. My parents weren’t terribly pleased with the idea. I think instead I might just get a coat from them. Oh well it is definitely better than nothing !
Hmm and so what with my other birthday wishes being:

- for my law course to get a little easier and have less work to do

- for the 4th Harry Potter book (I have read the first 3 and they are fantastic)

I don’t think I am asking too much.
