Hi everyone. “Welcome
to My Life”.
As everyone knows, I am now in Malaysia. If you don’t, then now you know. I have
been living here for two years now since I came back from the US. Everything
went as planned here. You know… the climate, grandparents, the neighbors and
everything… except the school. You see, I thought the school here will be full
of cruelty, discomfortness, punishments and all those sorts of things. Instead,
I found schooling here was exceptionally great. Of course it wasn’t so great of
having scolded by teachers and having to wear uniforms, but besides all that, I
like it here. I finished school now so I have time to tell you all about the
school I went to.
Chapter 1: The School
The school’s name is Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Abdul Samad. I don’t know if we can convert names to English language though but if we could, it would be National Secondary School of Abdul Samad. Hehe… Anyway, It’s located in Pulai Chondong, Kelantan. I thought of going to different school in Machang, but decided to go here since it’s near my home. Besides, I wasn’t accepted to attend to other schools. LOL!
I was in the class called 4 Alpha when I was in form 4 and 5 Alpha when in form 5. Same name of classes without the number 4 and 5 with the same students in them so it’s technically just one class. I don’t mean to brag but the class was supposedly for the smartest students in the level. So that would make me as one of the smartest students. LOL! Anyway, they chose me to be in the class because I took biology when I was in the US. If it wasn’t for the biology, I wouldn’t be in that class at all. I don’t know where I would end up in, maybe the lowest class.
Chapter 2: The Teachers
The teachers are surprisingly nice, or at least the ones who taught in my class are. I don’t know about other teachers. They’re all women except for the Ustaz that taught us religious stuff. The first year of schooling here was the hardest. You see, the school here starts in January. I came to Malaysia in the mid of March. So I was really far behind other students. Chemistry and Physics were gibberish to me. I didn’t understand anything. In the midterm exam, I got number 24 out of 27, which I thought was ok for me as a new student. Hey, I was new but still managed to get 3 other students behind me. So that means, I wasn’t the stupidest person in the class. However, as the time goes by, I finally caught with them. In the midterm exam of the second year of school, I got number 6 out of 27. I don’t know if it was me getting smarter or the other students getting stupider, but hey, not bad huh?
Chapter 3: The Students
This is like, my favorite part of the story. As you already know, there are 27 students in my class; 12 boys and 15 girls. It’s funny how the girls always outnumber the boys. Anyway, I’m just going to focus on male species in my class. Girls didn’t do nothing in the class except talk to their own species and answer questions from the teachers. There is also a story about us which was written by a former classmate of 4 Alpha. I can’t remember her name but it was written in Malay. I’ll show you later because I have to go to Terengganu first to get the book. It’s hilarious if you understand Malay. Anyway here’s the list of the students in the Alpha class with their nickname in parentheses. Don’t mind the order J
The boys:
Zulnizam (Pok Ju)
Ramli (Meli)
Zulhazam (Aje)

I can’t remember the girls’ names I’ll check out the book later then I’ll list them here. It’s not just for you guys to know their name, it’s also for me to remember these people, I might need reminders later :D .
v Zulnizam
o Also known as Pok Ju

v Hazman
o Aka Jeme
o I know I mentioned this about aje but he’s a funny guy.
o I sat next to him and he always made joke. Especially when he made fun of Zulhazam. But you know, joke in a nice way.
o Really great but sometimes he can be arrogant. Sometimes as in really really not often. I’m not trying to make him look bad but sometimes it’s sad when he just ignored me. Okay… here’s a story which was witnessed by not only me, but pejo as well. You see, we three went to a place to talk after attending a feast by one of our friends, Kamil, I was riding with Pejo and Jeme was by himself. Then he said he was going to get a friend of his called Pipi which means “cheeks”. We told him we wanted to go along so we followed him. Then when we reached Pipi’s house, Pipi got on the bike with Jeme. And went away from it and was speeding. Well, the bike I was riding couldn’t go as fast as he can so we lost him. Not even goodbyes… Can you imagine that? Pejo asked me in a humor sense, “Siapa kawan dia masa dia tak der pipi?” which means, “Who’s his friend when he doesn’t have his cheeks?” Well, it was a rhetorical question so I didn’t answer instead, we were laughing out loud on the bike! It was so funny at the time. But he’s a really nice guy though and I like him a lot. This kind of stuff happened like once every 5 months.
v Faizul
o Aka Pejo
o A really nice guy and really funny too
o Always come to my house for sleepovers on invitation of course. He never asked to sleep at my house. It was me that was doing the asking. Keep your mind clean because I asked him to certain reasons like keep me company when my grandparents are out of state, helping me with my studies or just for fun when I invite other friends too to just chat and waste their time.
o A smart guy. Specializes in Mathematics and English
o A naughty guy too. He always talked and played a lot in class.
o Involved in an accident once. Broke his jaw I think. He crashed onto a truck. I thought he was going to die but he was thinking fast and was crawling under the truck without getting injured badly. It’s like the Malay adage, “Pantang maut sebelum ajal”
v Faris
o Aka payih
o Smartest guy in the class
o Really funny. Maybe the funniest guy in the class. Maybe as funny as Jeme
o His stupid jokes that made it funny
o A really thin man. A skeleton?
o A handsome guy with his own secret admirers.

o Doesn’t have a nickname in my class.
o But he’s called Ayak in his town
o Plays soccer well
o A tall guy and is taller than me
o Funny guy with his own style of joke
o A smart guy. He always had books with him even when we were in a field trip.
v Faizal
o Aka Peja
o A handsome guy too and famous among girls in his town; Pak Gombak
o A library prefect. He and I are the only library prefects in the class
o Not much I can say because we’re not really really close. We only hangout at school not outside of school
v Aizat
o Aka Pok Jak
o Another funny guy with his own funny things
o He’s sometimes called tok bomoh. I don’t know why either but I don’t care
o He specializes in History. He likes to read a lot
o We always make fun of each other for fun. Nothing personal.
v Fahmi
o Aka Pami
o I can’t say that he’s nice because he’s not
o But he is funny though
o Really good with computers. I share my thoughts about computers with him more than other students in the class
You know, it’s so funny to realize
that my class was full of clowns and yet still maintain their academic progress.
I wish for all of us to get great results in SPM Examinations. Anyway, that’s
all. I’ll scan a photograph of my class later. Okay, that’s all. PEACE!
