                   Samoan Community Council of San Diego. P.O. Box 80444, San Diego, CA 92138. Meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month at the National City Police Station, 1200 National City Blvd., at 7 P.M. This council was created to actively participate in the promotion and perpetuation of the fa'asamoa and traditional Samoan attitudes and values that dignify all human life. The Council will award a total of eight scholarships this year.
 

                    Hui-O-Hawai'i of San Diego. 752 Grand Avenue, Spring Valley, CA 91977-5847. The Hui is a nonprofit social organization whos main purpose is to preserve the cultural heritage of Hawai'i, to foster a spirit of aloha,to support the community and to provide fellowship, friendship and understanding to its members. We meet the third Tuesday of the month for dinner and entertainment, provide language, choir and cultural classes for keikis(children) and adults, have an annual lu'au (Aug. 28 in 1999), provide educational assistance, entertain at schools, rest homes and cultural events, and have a monthly newsletter.

 
                   'Ahui Kiwila Hawai'i O San Diego. 1810 Double D Drive, El Cajon, CA 92021 Dolly Keahiolalo: dollyc@san.rr.com We are a member club of the Association of Hawaiin Civic Clubs, State of Hawaii.  We are a 501 (C) (3) non profit organization, actively participating in the preservation of our Hawaiin culture and values, our historical data,our geneological records, and the active use of the Hawaiin language. We award scholarships for Hawaiin cultural programs and post high school education.                     The Alliance for Pacific Islander Youth Assistance (TAPA). P.O.Box 371001, San Diego, CA 92137.  TAPA'a mssion is to empower Pacific Islander youth and their families by focusing on cultural identity, education and self-esteem. TAPA's vision is to create mutual trust, knowledge and informed action as a foundation of a unified organization dedicated to Pacific Islander youth.  We draw our inspiration from cultural life-styles of Pacific Islander society based on strong family traditions and values. We meet at the Teen Epicentre, 8450 Mira Mesa Blvd.
