I hope you don't mind if this takes a while to load. I tried to make it go as fast as I could but it will still take a couple of mins. Hang in there and bare with me. LOL!!

Hello! It may have taken me a while to get this page in here and it still does not have all that I would like to put in here but so far these are the pics that I have. I hope that you like what you see. There is plenty to do here also. We have a museum for the county that operates on donations and what a fine museum it is. There is boating and fishing. Shopping and dining. Hunting and hiking. And most of all some of the most wonderful sites to see while just taking in the sights esp. in the fall. The colors are fantastic and we have a couple of scenic byways for you to choose from. Come back to see if I have anything new because I plan to update ofen. Hope you like the photos that I have. Write to me if you have anything tht you would like to have added here.

Here you see a lovely photo of the East Tawas dock used by hundreds of people for most of the summer. They come from all over and dock here for the festivals that we have or just to take a break and see the sights. You can also see the whole town of East Tawas including the main street and the homes all around it. The beach has some of the best swimming in town and enjoyed by the campers next to the dock and the towns people.

A lovely sight of the sunset over the Tawas Bay. You can't get much better than this..unless you check out the next picture of a sunset.

Now here is the most beautiful sight I have of our area. I love to sit on the beach and watch the sun set. I just wanted to share a quite moment with you.

We have a couple of parks that cater to children with cement animals and toys to use. The Gateway Park is one of those parks. It is located just over the bridge coming into the Tawas' and is also the site of the Mariner Fest carnival in July. There is also fishing available with a marina just across the bridge.

The Gondola in the East Tawas Park is a wonderful place for all activities. There have been weddings, family reunions, parties for the graduating kids, and more. Centrally located in the park it is right next door to the Iosco County Museum which is the white building behind the gazebo,a must see on your visit.

It was brought to my attention that I had forgotten one of the biggest attractions to our area in my site and that is this picture of the Tawas Point lighthouse. Built in the 1880's it is one the oldest standing lighthouses in Michigan. It is still beautiful to see an is along an absolutely gorgeous nature walk along Tawas Point.

Why not visit some of the other websites on the net on our little city. If you plan on visiting you will want to see some of these to plan your vacation right.
