                            A Fragile Heart

Sometimes I wonder if you know how fragile my heart feels
I place it in your hands sometimes, to help to make it heal

Although I pray you'll hold it tight, I'm oft afraid to say
Please recognize the gift you hold, stop keeping me away

This fear I have, it burdens me, its not from up above
This cannot be His true intent when blessing us with love

For in our quest for great success, sometimes we close our doors
Preventing those who love us best from touching our inner core


So I'm asking you, rewind our past.  Remember what we hold…
When Faith was all we had to start this trust we've come to know


Although it seems an odd request…dramatic it may be.
Please let me hold your fragile heart, it too may help you heal.
