"Lost"

Lost in bewilderment with indecision
Trying to understand the avoidance 
Which foretells an estrangement 
That I don't want to face

I have that...
"Your heart sinks to your stomach -
The pain is too hard to bear" feeling
That "should I stay or should I go" -
That "hurts too much to stay
But too painful to leave" feeling...

Tears fall like rain
Trying to mend a heart broken
From the loss of a kindred soul
Who used to bring rays of sun
That brightened even the darkest
Of my most dismal days.

I have that...

Some day tears will no longer fall
