You have found `Sie's bookmarks, where Rosie
has randomly decided to display most of her bookmarks for you to enjoy. Please note that
this is but a small sampling of Rosie's real bookmarks, not all of them..*G*
Geek Stuff
HTML Goodies is the best place for free HTML
tutorials. Along with Java Goodies, these sites
are among the best free resources on the web today.
The Screen Savers website goes with the show aired
on ZDTV weeknights at 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific. It is hosted by Kate Botello and Leo Laporte and
is definitely the ultimate of geek television shows. That explains why I watch it..now why do YOU
watch it? ;)
Download.com is a great place to find freeware and shareware
on the Net. Also visit Hotfiles which has, well, most of the
same stuff, as near as I can tell, but I'm able to find things easier there ^_^
The Perl Institute is a good place to begin to understand what
the heck Perl is. Chock-full of info this site is, if you can find any of it. Maybe
Perl.com is a bit better..
Microsoft is a nessacary bookmark if you are running Win95/98.
It does have updates that are desparately needed so that your computer doesn't die. Much as I dislike
what Microsoft has become, you do need those updates..
Linux Online is another must visit for any real geek. Real geeks
with PCs need to at least know what Linux is, even though some might not be able to run it
at the moment because of a severe lack of hard disk space..bleugh. Visit the site and at least see..well..you
know who..*EG*
Apple is another one that my instincts are screaming, "NO!!! DON'T
LIST!!" but I really should list. For Mac users, it an obvious place to go. For PC users,
you really should download the latest version of QuickTime if you have the space; it's well worth
the effort.
Netscape Communications makes my current browser of choice,
Netscape Communicator 4.61 (brand new and not worth the upgrade from 4.5 IMHO - but still a good browser).
If only the browser wars would stop..
FAST Search is my new favorite search engine. It's minus
the whistles and bells you'll find on one of the portals, but it's easy to use, you won't get lost, and
it has the most pages on the net indexed thus far. It wins.
Horses
kcarroll's Horse Country is a really great handy-dandy nifty-keen
site that I'd reccommend to anyone anywhere. I think it's actually ranked as my number one favorite site
right now, even though I think I've visited almost every single page on the site..
Showjumping Down Under was designed by my
friend Kate Kearney and is the best resource for showjumping information in Australia that I know of.
The US Dressage Federation Site is a good resource for dressage. I don't know much about
dressage, but I do know a good site when I see one, and this one's fairly good, though they use yellow
at times (a major no-no in my book; yellow is far too bright for my monitor).
The American Quarter Horse Association Site is another good site for information,
specifically information on QHs (what a concept!)
Belgian Junior Riders Online is a great site managed and designed by
Astrid Appels. It is a good informational site about dressage as well.
Other
Kat's Keep is a great site made by my very good friend
I like to call Kattie-chan. You're bound to find a lot of really neat and interesting things there; check it out!!
The Enchanted Forest Castle is a nice kid-oriented site
to help you get started on your homepage and find out about what's going on in GeoCities' EnchantedForest.
The Tokyo Leaders site should help you to find a Tokyo CL and
find fonts to read in CJKTV if you can't already. Not like I can read in ANY of those languages anyway, but..*G*
SouthBeach/2000 is a nifty site if you need help in SouthBeach.
You can find a CL who speaks in whatever language you need a CL to speak in. Everybody speaks English, though ^_^ so you
don't need to go hunting for an English speaker..*L*
Meg's Place is really neat, too, and I highly recommend it for viewers of all ages.
