Prayers for All Mothers
May you spend less time focusing on the bad things children do, and more on the good,
And realize that, in the end, both you and your child will have done the best you could.
May you never, ever think for a moment that what you do is in vain,
For, looking back, you will find that your influence will remain.
May you teach your children what is good and what is right,
For a child without character is like a room without light.
Even in little, everyday things, may you seek to find joy.
It will instill a spirit of gratefulness in your little girl or boy.
May you always teach by example and not by words alone,
Knowing that empty words are unheard, like the gentle wind blown.
May you seek to make time for your children, even when it seems hard to do.
You never know when, one day, your children won't have time for you.
May you always remember that being a Mom is like no other thing,
With tears, smiles, and memories that few other things can bring..
