April 26th, 2001
Well, it's been a LONG time since I've written anything in here. I didn't write anything at all in here in 2000. It was a pretty eventful year for me.
I finally moved out of my house, and to another city. I got another promotion at work. I got a new car. My friends and I took some trips to some pretty cool places. So, all in all it was a great year for me.
In January I worked out my pay, and found out that I could afford a new car. I began the search. My dad and I were all over the place looking for a car. I had found a sweet green Ford Mustang that I wanted, but my dad talked me out of it since it probably wasn't practical for winter driving. So, I continuted to look. I went to a car lot and found a really cool white Chevy Cavalier 2 door Sport model. I test drove it, and bought it a couple days later, and I love it. Now I can take trips anywhere and not worry about breaking down or anything since I take great care of it.
I work at Target, and I've worked there since August of 1998. I got promoted to a level 2 signing specialist in October of 1999. I really liked my signing job, and had a lot of fun doing it. My schedule was set, monday through friday 6-2:30, pretty sweet. But, I wanted to advance and move up again. I heard there was a new store being built in State College, which is only 40 minutes from Altoona. I took the challenge, and told my store manager at the Altoona store that I wanted to interview for a level 3 department manager's position at State College. Even though that meant giving up the sweet schedule I had, and either driving 2 hours a day to get to work or moving. I got set up with an interview in July, along with 3 other people from the Altoona store.
I did the interview, and it went pretty well. I got a phone call about a week or 2 later offering me a position. I was extatic and scared all at once, but I said I was definatly taking the opportunity. Well, one of the other people that interviewed for State College got a position, and the other 2 didn't. To my luck, I was pretty close with Julie, and we decided to move away from Altoona and get a place together closer to State College. We finally found a place about 15 minutes from the store in a town called Pleasant Gap. I moved in August 15th, and I love every minute of it. I have everything my own way, and can come and go as a please and not have to tell anyone where I'm going or whatever.
Well, I plan on trying to keep this thing updated more often. I got a cable hookup and now it's not such a pain in the ass to get on and update it. I hope you stop back again and listen to me ramble and blah blah blah some more... =)
