Riding Crops

We All love this one :o) Riding crops are usually called crops by most. They are traditional S&M toys. Dominants strike with the shaft and the leather flap at the end, they are relatively easy to use, but as all the toys it requires pratice. They are both thuddy and stingy under full strokes. Some are long and thin, those hurt more than the short wider ones :o)

Tawse

The Tawse is an ancient punishment device developed in Scotland. It is made of a single strap like the original or the more modern multi-tailed form. The Tawse is constructed of solid latigo or vegetable-tanned leather usually weighing between seven to ten ounces. It is either shaped flat ended, or forked, adding to the sting. The tawse gives the feeling of a solid strapping, depending on the ability of the weilder. This is not a novice tool.

Canes

Canes are made of rattan, bamboo or synthetic materials. Most are light but don't let that fool you. Light equates to fierce in a cane. It is a slight rod and can cause extreme sensation, because it localizes the area of the strike. These instruments can break the skin, and extreme force is unnecessary. It is best to start with soft, quick strokes and build the intensity. Don't strike in the exact same location repeatedly.

Cat-o'-Nine

Cat-o`-nines are most often nine leather or rope tails attached to a rigid handle. The number of tails may vary from as few as three to as many as eighteen. The tails themselves may have a blunt or knotted striking end, oftentimes braided. Often the tails have a small knot with a large number of slender strands falling from it. This is a whip that will create a lot of sting, slash and welts.

Fringe Whip

The fringe whip is designed for pleasure. The fringe whip has no sting and just a bit of a thud. It is made of soft, braided nylon threads that tease and delight. Novices find it an excellent introduction to the pleasures of the lash. These gentle whips are frequently called "pussy whips" as they are fine for beating "pussies". Cock and balls like them too!!.

Buggy Whip

Oh I love this one. One of my faves *G* It is constructed like a crop although they are longer. A buggy whip can inflict significant pain or simply be used to tease by tickling with the fuzzy tip *G* It is also good for "Mind Fucks" whistling it throught the air for fear value. :o) This whip need alot of practice and is not not for novices.

Scourge

A scourge is a nasty little nine-tailed flogger made of stiff rawhide or hemp cord, knotted at the ends, and soaked in water. No two of the nine lashes are the same length, and the lashes are very stiff and hard, putting this evil piece in it's own category. This will cut VERY easily, not recommended for novices.

Quirts

A quirt is a type of whip, but deserve their own category. They usually start as a single flexible lash ending in a tail or tails. There are both single and double-tail quirts. They generally have short tails (15-36" is common), often with a long double striker at the end of the tail. A quirt is not a great beginner whip as it can bruise and cut the slave.

CBT - Cock and Ball Torture

CBT consists of finding new and exiting ways to give extreme pain and discomfort to the male genitals for his and her Pleasure. Example: Using a Parachute and putting weights for stretching the testicles, inserting objects, slapping and whipping, using bondage/rope!! Anything is possible. CBT is NOT for the weak and only for the experienced Domme.

Slings

Slings are usually made of very strong, pliable latigo leather, and heavy duty rivets, this fun tool is for placing your slave into, and either susending them, or using it as a swing for sex, whipping, et al. This is a fun thing, but caution is needed, when your slave gets ramped up, s/he may buck out of the sling.

Flogger

Floggers are a broad category which includes multi-tailed flat lashes (and flat braided lashes) in a wide range of materials and weights. Leather floggers run from the very light (pig or goat skin) through the general purpose lashes of cow and game hides (deer and elk) to the heaviest bull, buffalo and oil tan leathers. Usually used more towards the sensual, or genital play. Floggers are also great for warming up a scene and working the slave back down.

Ball Gag

Basically, a rubber ball on a strap or rope. The most common of the D/s gags. It is easy and fast to use and quickly removed in emergency. Any submissive properly wearing one will be able to grunt and hum, but speach will be muffled. To be effective, the ball must fit behind the teeth. If the ball is too large, it will not fully enter the mouth and be easily pushed away.

Penis Gag

A dildo on a strap. The gag is almost always made of rubber or plastic. A short penis is slid into the submissive's mouth and the strap is buckled or locked on. Care must be taken so that this gag is not too long so as to trigger a gag reflex (no pun intended). Some models have a second penis extending from the front of the gag, so that the submissive may serve his Mistress.

Cloth Gag

A very dangerous gag due to the possibility of choking on loose cloth. In its most dangerous, and common forms, cloth is packed into the mouth and a piece of cloth is tied over the mouth. A safer version is to take a stocking, tie a knot in the leg, push the cloth in the stocking against the knot, then tie a second knot after the packed cloth. If a Mistress feels her submissive deserves a reward, she may substitute her panties for the cloth.

Gag Trainer

Most often used with a ball or penis gag. A web of straps pulls the gag deeply into the submissive's mouth. No amount of rubbing or head motions will loosen the gag. In its most common form, a strap goes under the chin and over the top of the head, forcing the mouth closed around the gag. Usually used to aquaint the sub with being gagged or used as punishment.

Gag

A ball or wad of cloth is inserted into the submissisve's mouth and a piece or several pieces of tape are pressed over the mouth. No mouth breathing is possible with this gag! Never to be used when submissive has nasal congestion or is to be left alone!

Ring Gag

A metal ring is placed between the submissive's teeth and a strap is buckled or locked around the head. A safe gag because breathing is unhampered. The submissive will drool uncontrolably, making this gag embarrasing for some.

The KTB

The KTB is about 1" long and 1.5" in diameter, a severe has 3/8" teeth that rests against your penis. The teeth are many sharp points which serve both to prevent the KTB from being slid off and as bio-feedback to prevent erections or even erotic thoughts. The KTB is made of stainless steel, and locks on with a small padlock.

Bit Gag

Very popular with the pony set. A metal or leather bar is inserted between the submissive's teeth and buckled into place. Most people wearing this will be able to speak well enough to be understood, and the gag does not interfere with breathing. Often used as the basis for a head harness.

Posture Collar

A collar wider than the usual, designed to hold the submissive's head immobile. It is widest at the side of the head, and narrows as it goes under the chin. The chin is held in an upward thrust, contrary to the downcast most subs naturally assume. The wearer has to turn the whole body to see to the side. If a gag is used with this collar, the effectiveness of the gag will be improved.

Gag Pad

An excellent gag to introduce the submissive to gags. It is a leather pad that is held between the teeth, but does not deeply enter the mouth. Speech is mildy garbled while wearing this but is understandable.

Pump Gag or Inflatable Gag

The most dangerous gag made! Only to be used by those experienced in BDSM. A deflated bladder is put into the submissives mouth, and using a squeeze bulb, it is slowly inflated. As it expands, it fills the mouth and prevents any breathing by mouth. EXTREME care must be taken so that the sinus cavity is not blocked! Although it usually is secured by a strap, it does not need one. Its size alone prevents it from being pushed out unless deflated.

Ball Spreader

A band of material, usually leather, is wrapped around the ball sack, forcing the balls away from the groin. It is not a devastating punishment by itself. But the balls will be extremely tender to the slightest touch. The male submissive is able to wear street clothes over this, but his walking will be with legs further apart than normal.

Parachute

It looks like a leather funnel. The tight part wraps around above the balls, and it flares out as if protecting the balls. That is not its function. It is a base for attaching weights. As weight is added, the cone is pulled down, stretching the balls. The Mistress can effectively control the discomfort by adding or subtracting weight.

Gates of Hell

A penis torture device. A series of small rings are attached to the penis, usually by a leather harness. The final ring, that furthest from the body, is smaller than the others. The submissive is unable to get an erection without discomfort. If the Mistress has pulled the flacid penis through the final ring, an erection will bring severe pain.

Violet Wand

The violet wand was originally invented as a medical device around 1930, having no proven benefit in that area. It soon became a popular BDSM toy. It has a small generator that is attached to a glass bulb. When the bulb gets near the skin, the electricity discharges (at extremely low amperage, so it's not like being electrocuted) to the skin, creating a beautiful display of sparks and fascinating and intense sensations. The feelings can vary from light, voluptuous tingling to (literally) hair-raising vibrations to very intense electrical play. Note: once you get a feel for the violet wand, the next step up in intensity is a TENS Unit. Until you understand electricity well enough, don't go for one.
