Promotional Items
As with any artist that comes out with an album, there will be many promotional items released to promote the album sales. In Idina's case, there have been many items, but not as much as I'd expect from a new artist just starting out. Postcards were sent out to many fans. Posters and other such items as well as autographed pictures can also be found. There are also promotional cassettes and CDs (see below for details).

The Minuet Video

Idina's first video was for Minuet. The video takes place at a car wash. Idina and her boyfriend Taye Diggs are in the car making it all steamy if ya know what I mean :-)
The Other Sister (soundtrack)

Follow If You Lead (slow version) is featured on the soundtrack to this film. Originally, Idina recorded Come Rain Or Come Shine, but the company decided on Follow If You Lead instead.

Other artists featured on the soundtrack are: Savage Garden, The Pretenders, Alison Krau, Lemonheads, Fastball, Paula Cole, The Soup Dragons, Joan Osborne, Juliette Lewis, and Rachel Portman.

"Thank you to... Gwen Stewart (for making me sound good),... Jonathan Larson, Michael Greif and my entire Rent Family (I miss you)... and finally Sandalwood (my soul mate, my buddy... thank you for the compassion, and understanding. I love you.)" - From Idina's credits

Summer of Sam

Between her two performances on the Lilith Fair, Idina flew to NYC to shoot Spike Lee's upcoming film, Summer of Sam (coming out July 2nd). She is only in one scene (with 6 lines) where she plays a raving lunatic girl in the midst of hurling all of her boyfriend's belongings out the window. Saying such things as "You suck as a musician and you don't f*** like Jimmy Hendrix either!!!" Let's hope this scene doesn't end up on the cutting room floor. It will be a classic!
Rent

Idina made her Broadway debut in Rent as Maureen Johnson, for which she received a 1996 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

Idina appeared on the cover of Hot Zone with Wilson Jermaine Heredia and Daphne Rubin-Vega. She also appeared in Cosmopolitan (See more from Cosmopolitan here and here), Newsweek, and Out.
