Two days later, Nick brought Tara and their baby home to their house. Nick had finished off the baby room, which was all ready for little Joshua. As they pulled up to their house, Nick got out of the car first, and grabbed his camcorder, and videotaped himself helping Tara and Joshua out of the car, and into the house.
"We're going to make LOTS of home videos!!!" Nick exclaimed, and then dropped Taras hospital stuff on the floor.
"Welcome home buddy!!!" Nick said, grabbing his son, holding him in his arms. Nick reached out his one arm and grabbed Tara and pulled her to them and then gave her a kiss.
"This is our little Carter family!!" Nick said proudly, Tara laughed. Nick set up his camera and took a picture of the three of them, for a memory picture of the first day home as a family. Joshua was sleeping soundly, so Nick brought him upstairs and laid him down in his crib. Nick went downstairs to Tara, and then they cuddled downstairs on the couch, and would go upstairs often to see if Joshua was alright.
Over the next five months, Nick and Tara got used to life with Joshua, and were loving every minute of it. Joshua wouldnt wake up much at night time, a trait he inherited from Tara, who was the same way when she was a baby. Nick and Tara were glad at that fact, cuz they didnt have to wake up alot in the middle of the night. Joshua was a happy baby, and would only cry for attention, or if he was hungry or tired, or needed a changing.
AJ had a very big change in his life. He went to AA for his drinking problem, he wanted that to be in his past, and he was ashamed that he had that problem. AJ stopped drinking completely, which made him have better relationships with people. He was no longer a threat of leaving the Backstreet Boys, which the band was glad about. AJ's attitude about his and Karine's baby was positive now also, and his main concern was to prove this to Karine. AJ spent the month after Joshua was born fixing up his house, and getting rid of all the alcohol bottles, and started working on a special surprise for Karine. AJ went out and bought a new car, not a fancy carm but a big family car, that had enough room for Karine, the baby seat and tons of other space for their future family.
In June, AJ invited Karine over to his house for dinner, to talk about the baby and about resolving their relationship, he wanted to work things out because he missed her.
Karine arrived at AJ's house, and he was in the middle of cooking a nice dinner of Karines favourite foods, by himself!
"Alex, your cooking!" Karine said surprised.
"Yeah, i went to this class to learn how to cook.. so I could make you and our family good dinners!" AJ said. Karine looked surprised, yet happy.
"Oh yeah? What else have you been doing?" Karine asked, smiling.
"I've been to LaMa's class!!" AJ said.
"You what?!?" Karine said laughing.
"Yup! I was the only single guy there, but I didnt care! I learned everything I needed to know to help you and the baby!" AJ said proudly.
"AJ! I cant believe that! You really want this baby now, dont you?" Karine asked.
AJ took Karines hands, and then led her up the stairs.
"I have something to show you" AJ said. "Maybe this will answer your question.." AJ led Karine down the hallway to the bedroom beside the one that they used to share. AJ opened to door, to reveal a beautifully decorated, fully equipped baby room.
"ALEX!" Karine said in shock, she couldnt believe what her eyes were seeing. The room was soo beautiful. It was made in neutral colors, of wood finish and white, and looked very very beautiful. Karine had a few happy tears coming down from her eyes. She couldnt believe this was the same AJ as before.. but it was! AJ had gone through much change, and change for the better. AJ wrapped his arms around Karine from behind, and asked her if she liked the room.
"Its beautiful!!!" Karine said happily.
"Theres only two things missing" AJ said.
"Alex, what could possible be missing?? its soo perfect!" Karine said, looking around the room.
"You and the baby.. without you two, its not perfect" AJ said. Karine was soo happy to see for herself that AJ had changed, and she knew that they could be together now.
"I love you, Karine! And I know I dont deserve a second chance, after the way that I treated you! I was such an ass!! But, would you give me a second chance?" AJ asked. Karine knew he had changed, and she really wanted him back too.
"Oh Alex! I love you too!!! and I will give you another chance!" Karine said happily, then AJ ran up to her and gave her a kiss that lifted her off her feet!
AJ and Karine went downstairs, and AJ finished making Karine supper. During supper, the talked about names for their baby, and had a few ideas but were stuck between a few. After supper, AJ cleaned up the kitchen, while having Karine rest on the couch. AJ joined Karine on the couch afterwards.
"Im sorry that I missed the first five months of the pregnancy" AJ said, looking at Karine who was starting to show.
"Its alright Alex, its understandable" Karine said, trying to comfort AJ.
"I wish I could have seen every step, though" AJ said.
"You havent missed the main ones! Just wait till it starts kicking!" Karine said, rubbing her stomach.
Karine leaned over and gave AJ a kiss.
"Im glad that we are back together, Alex"
"So am I!" AJ replied. AJ leaned into Karine, and started to kiss her. After kissing for awhile, AJ pulled back a bit.
"I dont want to get things too heavy if you dont want to" AJ said.
"Alex, I want to" Karine said.
"Are you sure?" AJ asked.
"yes" Karine replied, then she grabbed AJ's hand. AJ led Karine upstairs, to their old room, which changed also.
"The room, its changed!" Karine said.
"Yeah, i know. Its for our new start" AJ replied. Karine looked at AJ and smiled at him, and then they started to kiss and undress one another. AJ took off Karines shirt, then kissed her on her shoulders and around her neck. He lingered kisses on the certain place on her neck that drives her crazy. Karine took off AJ's shirt, and then she kissed his chest, as she ran her fingers down his stomach, following the cute little line of hair under his belly button. She stopped when she reached AJ's cargo pants, and then she undid his pants, and let them drop to the floor. AJ started to tickle Karine, and she started laughing hysterically. AJ picked her up, and laid her down on the bed, enclosing his arms around her, savouring the moment.
AJ slowly unbuttoned Karines pants, and then took them off of her.
AJ took his time with Karine, slowly exploring her body with his hands, like it was their first time all over again. When his hands rubbed over her stomach, hed lean down and kiss the belly, where the baby was. AJ kissed Karine passionately, and then he slowly started to make love to her, trying to make sure that not all of his body weight was on top of her. Karine and AJ had been apart from eachother for soo long, that it felt really good to be back together once again, and they were soo excited to be one again. Karine reached her excitement climax at the same time AJ did, and then they both screamed for excitement! No one was around so they didnt care. AJ's face wrinkled up again afterwards, as he turned a shade of red, while Karine turned a little red also.
After making love, Karine and AJ snuggled in bed together, and then made love afterwards again.
