The ambulance arrived shortly after and picked Nick up to go to the hospital. Tara climbed into the back of the ambulance with Nick, and rode with him to the hospital, staying by his side all the way.
"Thanks for coming for me" Nick said lowly, hurting from the pain.
"Hunny, nothing could keep me away from you! I would NEVER let anything happen to you! I love you!" Tara said, and then she leaned over and kissed his forehead gently. Nick looked up at Tara.
"I love you too" Nick said, trying to smile, and giving her a kiss back.
"You're going to be okay! Your lucky it hit your right chest, not your left!" Tara said.
"I know.. I am lucky.." Nick said, and then he started to feel a little tired from the pain.
"Im tired.." Nick said, yawning.
"Rest, hun!! Dont worry.. I'll take care of you" Tara said, and then Nick shut his eyes to rest.
Karine, AJ, Brian, Kevin, Denise, Justin, Lance, Chris and JC all showed up at the hospital shortly after Nick and Tara arrived there. Nick was taken to the emergency room, where the bullet was carefully taken out. Nick had lost alot of blood, so he had to stay overnight at the hospital while gaining more blood.
"Hows he doing?" Brian asked Tara, as she came out of his room from talking with the doctor.
"Hes going to be just fine! He just has to stay overnight to receive some blood" Tara said "Im going to stay here tonight, I already checked it out with the hospital. Im going to stay with Nick" Tara said.
"Want some company? I mean, he is my best friend.. I'd like to be there too, when he wakes up" Brian said.
"yeah, he would like that!" Tara said.
"We're going to stay also!" Kevin said, referring to himself, AJ and Karine. Denise headed back to the hotel with N SYNC, and they went to bed since it was really late. Everyone had a better sleep that night, knowing that the killers had been caught.
At the hospital, Tara and Brian slept in Nicks room. Brian in the bed beside Nicks, and Tara sat in a chair, awake for most of the night.
The others fell asleep in the waiting room, on the waiting room couches.
The next morning, Nick woke up to see Tara curled up in the chair beside him, asleep. Brian woke up at around the same time.
"Hey man!!" Brian said. "How are you feeling?" Brian asked.
"Better.. " Nick said "What are you doing here?" He asked, surprised to see Brian.
"I wanted to stay here, since yer my best bud! Had to make sure you were okay frack!" Brian said. Nick smiled at Brian and then thanked him.
"She looks soo cute when shes asleep!" Nick said, smiling while looking at Tara in the chair. Brian got up and walked over and looked at Tara.
"yeah she does! Man she was so worried about you! I think she stayed up most of the night" Brian said.
"I know.. I could feel her love" Nick said. Nick stretched out an arm and touched Taras face, causing her to open her eyes.
"Nick!" Tara said, reaching over to him giving him a huge gently hug.
"Are you alright?" Tara asked.
"Yes I am, thanks to you guys!" Nick said. "I love you!" Nick gave Tara a kiss.
"aww I love you too!!" Tara kissed Nick back. The doctor entered the room.
"Well, I can see someone is feeling better today.." The doctor joked around.
The doctor examined Nicks condition who was improving. The following day, Nick was let out of the hospital.
"I know pronounce you.. husband and wife!! You may kiss the bride!" The pastor said at the front of the audience.
Tara and Nick shared a beautiful romantic kiss infront of everyone that attended their wedding.
"Man it feels sooo good to be home" AJ said, relaxing in his chair at the wedding reception.
"We've been home for two months.. but nothing feels better than home!" AJ said.
AJ looked down at the wedding ring on Karines finger. Karine and AJ wedded immediately after they arrived back in Florida from their horrible trip in Toronto.
AJ put his hand on Karines belly.
"Maybe sometime shortly after your born, uncle Nicky and aunt Tara will give you a cousin!" AJ said, kissing Karine.
"Id like to say a prayer... in memory of Lou, Joey and our bro Howie!" Nick said. "God knows they are here with us today in spirit..celebrating and sharing our day with everyone one of us. I thank the Lord for allowing me to have known three wonderful guys, who i'll never forget. God, please take care of our close friends, and thank you for everything that you have done" Nick said. With that, the party continued, and everyone carried on with the rest of their lives, never forgetting Howie D, Lou, or Joey.
