Spring break had finished and it was time to return back to the normal life, and for AJ and Nick, this normal life would only be lasting for two more weeks, and then it would be back to the life of the good old days, the days of the Backstreet Boys.
For the last two weeks at school, which was about mid-semester for Nick and Tara, Nick spent most of the time with Tara, studying for his mid term exams that were to be written during mid-week of the last week of school before touring.
"Are you nervous?" Tara asked Nick, laying on his bed, looking down at her binder.
"about what, the test, or tour?" Nick asked.
"Tour" Tara replied. Nick thought about it for a minute.
"not really.. I mean, touring has been a large part of my life, and Im used to it" Nick said.
A few pages later, Nick was staring at Tara, who was still studing her notes on his bed.
"What are you going to do for the next three months?" Nick asked.
"School!" Tara replied, half smiling.
"Thats not the answer I was looking for.. " Nick said, grinning.
"oh yeah? What kind of answer would you like me to say?" Tara asked curiously.
"That you'll be coming on tour with me!" Nick said.
"You're joking right?" Tara said, laughing.
"No, Im not. I want you to come on tour with me.. there will be a tutor there, that can teach us" Nick said.
"I, I-I dont know what to say!" Tara said, shocked.
"Say you'll come with me!" Nick said.
"Of course I'll come with you!" Tara said "I Love You!"
Nick hugged Tara. "I Love You too, Tara!" and then he gave her a kiss.
AJ and Karine stood in line for the mono rail at Disney World. They had just spent the entire day having tons of Florida Fun at Disney World, seeing all the attractions, and trying some of the rides.
"Only a few more days till you leave" Karine said sadly, looking out the window of the mono rail.
"Yeah, I know, but we wont be apart for long. Only two weeks!!!" AJ said.
"Thats not long at all" he assured her.
"I guess not" Karine said.
They took the mono rail back to the parking lot, where they got in AJ's car, and took off back to AJ's house. Karine had spent alot of time at AJ's house, instead of her dorm room, it was almost as though she lived there, and not the dorm!
Nick finished his last exam, which was history, and handed in his papers. He left the silent class, while 3/4 of the people were still there writing. The exam took him an hour and 40 minutes to write, and Tara was still in there writing.
Nick went over to his and Tara's locker, which they had started sharing when they first started seeing eachother. Nick unlocked the locker door, opened it, and looked at all the pictures that were in there. There were pictures of Nick and Tara from their first date, other dates, the semiformal, christmas, valentines day, and a picture of the Backstreet Boys.
Nick started at the top, taking the pics off slowly so they wouldnt ruin.
"So you're really going?" a voice said from behind Nick. Nick turned around to see Ryan standing there, by himself.
"Yeah, I bet your happy to hear that" Nick said, turning back to his pictures.
"Is Tara going with you?" Ryan asked.
"
"Yes" Nick said, staring at a pic of him and her in his backyard.
"Thats a nice pic of you two" Ryan said. Nick turned around and looked at Ryan.
"What are you doing, man? I thought you had something against me. All these months, you called me names, and bothered Tara and I" Nick said, kind of confused.
"Yeah, I know, thats because you have my girl.. but I know she loves you, not me" Ryan said.
Nick didnt really know what to say.
"Listen, Id like to apologize to you, for bugging you these past months" Ryan said. "And for the way that I treated you in elementary school"
Nick looked at him, not knowing what to say.
"I really like Tara, and I just want to make sure.. that you dont hurt her. I know I've hurt her in the past, over and over again. I dont want you to do the same thing, cuz, she's special. And I know she loves you" Ryan said.
"Thanks" Nick said. Tara walked down the hall over to where Nick and Ryan were.
"Hey" Tara said, giving them a strange look.
"Hey" The guys both said in unison.
"Well, I have to go now. Good luck with the tour, Nick. Remember what I told you. Have fun, Tara. See you guys at Graduation" Ryan said, and then he took off.
"what was that all about?" Tara asked strangely.
"Call us when you get to the hotel" Jane said, hugging her son. This would be the last time she would see him until June, because of the tour they were doing. Nick hugged his mother back, Aaron, and his sisters, and even his father.
Nick climbed in the limo that was waiting for him, and then took off to Taras house.
The chauffeur loaded Tara's bags into the back of the limo, and Tara joined Nick in the back seat. On the way to the airport, Tara and Nick kissed alot, having some fun.
As they reached the airport, the met up with Howie and AJ, who were there by themselves. The tour was an American Tour, which would then turn into a Canadian one in August. The plan had changed a little and they decided to make their first appearance, a surprise appearance, at NYC's Radio City Music Hall. After that, tickets for their upcoming concerts EVERYWHERE would go on sale.
The boys reached the Plaza Hotel late that night. Kevin and Brian were already there, with their girlfriends. Nick and Tara shared a room, since they had on spring break, but nothing ever happened between the two of them, they were both still waiting. Instead, they both just enjoyed their bedtime by kissing, and falling asleep in eachothers arms. AJ called Karine right away when he checked into his hotel room. The boys had suites, ou had gone on an all out trip for the Boys, as a little reward of getting back together.
The next day, the surprise concert was to happen at 8pm. The boys spent all afternoon rehearsing their songs from their first and second album, and some of their newest songs they have been working on. Practising the dance steps again was a little hard, however they got back into the swing of things in no time.
"wow! You guys must have been practising over the past year.. you havent lost your moves at all!" Fatima said happy.
"thanks" The guys said in unison.
At 7pm, the boys snuck into the back of Radio City Music Hall, and changed into their newest tour outfits. The place filled quickly, it was a sold out concert. The people didnt know who was performing, the only thing that was mentioned was that it was a surprise visit, by a surprise boyband. Teenage girls filled the room, screaming, waiting to see who it was.
"its time for you guys to go out!" Tara said, at around 8pm. The boys looked soo hyper and energetic, they couldnt wait to go out there.
"Ive got a seat waiting for you in the front row" Nick said, and then he kissed Tara.
"Love you!" Tara said, and then she took off to her seat. At 8pm, the lights went off, suspensful music started to play.
"Ladies and Gentlemen.. the moment you have all been waiting for... the surprise BOY BAND CONCERT" the deep voice said over microphone.
"We, here at the RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL, are honored to present the VERY FIRST CONCERT.. of.. THE NEWLY UNITED BACKSTREET BOYS!"
THOUSANDS OF SCREAMS filled the room!!! The girls went CRAZY with happiness!!!! Backstreet Boys jumped onto stage making the girls go even more crazy!!! They opened with BACKSTREETS BACK, realizing that would be the perfect song to open with. The girls jumped up and down with excitement and frenzy, screaming out the names of the Backstreet Boys.
"Wow!!! Thanks everyone for coming out... We're glad to be back, and We're glad that you all joined us here for our very first reunion concert!" Kevin said.
"Backstreets Back!! and we're here to STAY!!!!" Nick shouted out. Girls screamed!
Tara met the boys backstage after the concert was over. The boys came off the stage soo happy and energetic, and soo sweaty!!!
"Man that was the BEST!!" Nick said excited.
"This is really right" AJ said "I mean, being back together and singing as a group" the guys had a group hug, and then grabbed their towels, and went outside to sign autographs. It took a few hours for everyone to get an autograph, but the boys did it for their fans, since they loved them and had missed them soo much.
