Nick's cell phone rang early in the morning, waking him up from a dead sleep. The Backstreet Boys had arrived in Florida late the previous night, and decided to stay overnight in a hotel room in Orlando, before going back to Ruskin that day.
"Hello?" a groggy Nick said, answering the small cell phone.
After talking for a few minutes, Nick thanked the person and then hung up the phone. Immediately, he gently woke up Tara.
"Nick.... Nick im too tired.... I cant right now..." Tara said, thinking that Nick was waking her up for another reason.
Nick grinned and let out a little laugh, easing up his worries.
"No, hun, its not that.. I just got a phone call.. from the Doctors.. they have my results from my bloodtest" Nick said. Tara opened her eyes slowly, and sat up in bed next to Nick.
"really? What'd they say?" Tara asked.
"Well, they found traces of some kind of drug in my blood... I forget the name of it, they used some big technical term for it. Its the one that has been used in alot of clubs to lure people, the kind that makes you not remember anything, and you have no idea what your doing" Nick said.
"Oh yeah, I know what one you're talking about... it was in the papers awhile ago" Tara said.
"I can't believe Mandy would do this to me.." Nick said "Why would she do this to me for?"
"Because she wants you, and she'll do anything she can just to have you" Tara replied.
"But I cant just go up there, and accuse her. I don't even have any proof that she is the one that slipped it into my drink.." Nick said.
"yeah, you have a point there.. We're going to have to get proof before we accuse her, or charge her.." Tara said.
"I'm just glad that Rok got there in time, and saved me.." Nick said, looking over at Tara.
"So am I! Thanks to Brian, I know the real story, and took care of you" Tara said, giving Nick a hug.
"and you know... since I'm up and it's still pretty early..." Tara said out loud, then whispered something into Nick's ear.
Nick's eyes widened as a large grin came across his face. Nick turned off his cell phone, pushed Tara back, kissing her, and threw the covers ontop of them for some fun in bed.
AJ unpacked his bags from the limo and took out the keys to his house. The feeling suddenly hit him that he has not been home in months, and the last time he was there, was when he was with Karine.
AJ brought his bags into the bedroom, and stood in the middle of the room. A few pics of Karine and him were scattered around the room, one of them framed by his bed. Sadly, he took the pictures and put them in the drawer. Thoughts about Karine were just to painful for AJ at the time, as he still loved her very much and felt betrayed that she did not trust him.
Back in Montreal, Karine was preparing for her date with Patrick. Although it had only been two weeks since she left the BSB tour and stayed in Montreal, she wanted to move on with her life and put AJ and the Backstreet Boys behind her, and forget about the past to move on with the future, although for her, it was going to be very hard because she loved AJ.
Patrick arrived at Karines apartment at around 7pm that night, carrying flowers with him for Karine. Shortly after, they left her apartment and went to the movies and out for some supper.
AJ roamed the streets of Tampa and ended up at the mall to do some shopping.
After buying various pairs of sunglasses, shirts and baggy pants, his stomach started to growl, telling him that he was hungry.
AJ made his way over to the foodcourt, deciding between all the choices of the places to eat. McDonalds caught AJ's attention, since he was the lover of McDonalds. After ordering his meal, he sat down by himself at one of the food court tables and started to nibble on his fries.
Sitting at the table alone, AJ thought about the times when he went there with Karine. Other memories flashed in his mind, such as the night of their first kiss, their first date, the first time they made love, and other special intimate personal times that they shared together.
AJ took a bite out of his burger, staring off into space with his dreams of Karine. He wondered what she was doing at that very moment.
"AJ? is that you?" a familiar voice said from behind. AJ turned around to see Amanda standing there with some shopping bags, and a tray of food. She had been to McDonalds too, AJ noticed.
"Hey Amanda, take a seat" AJ offered, kicking a chair away from the table for her to sit down.
"Thanks" she said "pretty busy in the mall today, eh?"
"I guess.." AJ said, still thinking.
"what's on your mind?" Amanda asked.
"Im just thinking, about some of the times Karine and I had.." AJ said.
Amanda didnt say anything to that, because she didnt know exactly what to say. She didnt want to down Karine, because she didn't want AJ to think that she was a bitch.
"Well.. Hey... you know, I heard that that new Cruel Intentions movie is really good" Amanda said "have you seen it yet?"
"Amanda, we just got home like, late last night.. I haven't had time to go to the movies" AJ snapped. He wasn't in the best of moods.
"Good point, well, we're home now, and since we're here, let's go see it! It will be fun!" Amanda suggested. AJ thought about it for a moment. Karine did break it off with him, and girls always takes his mind off of his problems. He also enjoys spending time with Amanda.
"Alright, on one condition.." AJ said.
"Whats that?" Amanda said, smiling.
"That I take you to Universal Studios tomorrow, for a day of fun" AJ said. Hey, why not, he thought.
"Deal!" Amanda said happily.
Over the next couple of weeks, AJ and Amanda spent most of their time together going out and having fun. They both had alot of things in common, such as their love for weird clothes, music, and doing crazy things. Amanda and AJ became closer, and started classifying their day trips as dates, as AJ grew some feelings for Amanda.
Back in Montreal, Karine spent most of her time at work, and with her new man, Patrick. Patrick was a nice guy, who was also in a band called the Sweet Boys, which were a local group that imitates the BSB. Patrick, surprisingly, plays the role of AJ.
