CHAPTER 11:

Brian dropped Laura off at her house after the party had finished. He wanted to tell her his true feelings for her, but he felt that it just wasn't the right time yet. He wanted to tell her in a romantic setting, not in the front seat of his car. As usual, he wished her good night and gave her a kiss.

When Brian reached home, he shut the gate behind him incase any fans were lurking around, trying to get into the property. Inside the house, Nick heard the sound of the garage door shutting, and ran down the stairs to meet Brian in the kitchen.
"How was the party?" Nick asked as soon as Brian walked in through the door.
"It was great, alot of fun! You missed a good food fight" Brian said "and Tara ate like a pig! I guess thats what happens to women when they are pregnant" Brian smiled. Nick frowned. He wanted to be there to see her, and watch her grow with the pregnancy of the twins. He hadnt seen her since the day that he left the house to go out with AJ, the night that everything went completely wrong.
"Did you talk to her? Did you give her my present?" Nick asked a little anxiously.
Brian put his hands into his pockets.
"Yeah, I talked to her.. and I gave her your present. I gave it to her in private, incase she cried"
"What happened? What did she say?" Nick asked.
"Well, she cried when she listened to the tape, she thought it was very beautiful. I told her that you love her, and she told me that she still loves you"
A big smile came across Nicks face. For once in a month he actually felt a little happiness.
"She loves me?" He asked, in assurance.
"She sure does! Nick, I know she wants to be with you. Shes letting her stubbornness get in her way, and also she believes that you cheated on her. Man, we really need some evidence that you didnt!" Brian said. He ran a hand through his hair.
"What if we found that girl? the one from the club???" Nick suggested. Brian looked up at Nick and grinned.
"You know, if we found her, and got her to tell Tara the truth, or even reveal the truth to me, that would would perfectly!" Brian said.
"Lets do it.. lets go find her!" Nick said excitedly.
"whoa, Frack.. its 1:30am, I think we should start tomorrow..." Brian said. He yawned.
"Alright.. but we definetly have to find the truth, I want to be with Tara soo much... I miss her.."
"I know you do Bro.. I know.." Brian said. He patted Nick on the back and then went up the stairs to his bedroom.

AJ decided to take Karine out for a special dinner for night of July the fourth. He had made reservations at the newest Planet Hollywood that had been built in Orlando, Florida.
"I've been wanting to go here for awhile" Karine said, as AJ pulled the vehicle up to the parking lot of the Planet Hollywood.
"I know, thats why I am bringing you here!" AJ smiled at Karine. He got out of the car, walked around to her door, and opened it up for her. He shut the door behind her after she got out. He grabbed her hand and led her inside the large building which resembled the Earth.
"Oh AJ.. look, its a picture from the movie Titanic!" Karine said, pointing to the mural on the wall.
"Check this one out.." AJ said, leading her to a glass case.
"This one is C-3PO from that Star Wars movie!" AJ said excited.
"Planet Hollywoods are soo awesome" Karine replied. AJ walked them over to the entrance of the dining room.
"Reservations for McLean" AJ spoke.
"Right this way, Mr McLean" the waiter said. He led Karine and AJ into the crowded dining room and sat them down in one of the booths.
"Your waitress will be right with you" the man said. He handed them the menus and then left the table.
Karine grabbed a menu and looked through it.
Glancing up at AJ, she saw him checking out some of the girls in the restaurant. She noticed her temperature starting to rise with a little jealousy.
She looked back down at her menu, she knew she had to talk to AJ about his glancing problem. For the past couple of weeks, she had noticed him checking out other girls, and, things seem to have been a bit different between them since the night of Nicks accident at the club. Ever since that night, Karine had her suspicions of what happened because she knew that Nick had been at that club with AJ.
"Hello my name is Stacey, and I'm your waitress for tonight. How can I help you?" the girl announced. Karine looked up at the girl to take her order. AJ was looking at his menu.
"Yes, I'd like the Hollywood Style chicken meal... with fries, and a side of seattle star salad" Karine said, looking at the funky names of the food.
The girl wrote them down and then turned to AJ.
"AJ!!! Oh My God, is that you?" Stacey said with excitement. AJ looked up from the menu and looked at the girl.
"Stacey!! Wow! What are you doing here?" He asked a little nervous.
"I got a job here when we first opened! Where have you been? I have been looking for you forever since that night at the club!" Stacey said. Karine looked over at AJ, who was turning a little red with guilt.
"I have uhh.. been busy" AJ said. He looked at Karine who seemed to be giving him a madening glare.
"How do you know AJ?" Karine interrupted.
"We met about a month and a half ago in a club.. danced, had some drinks! It was great! Unfortunately I havent seen Alex back there in awhile! WHo are you?" She asked.
"Im Alex's fiance!" Karine stammered.
"Fiance? AJ never mentioned he was engaged..." Stacey said.
"He didnt have to..." Karine said, slamming her cloth napkin down on the table "From this moment on, hes not" Karine said out loud. She got up from the table and left the room.
"Karine.. wait!!" AJ said, standing up from his chair, running after her.
"Alex where are you going?" Stacey asked.
"After my fiance!!" AJ said, running down the aisle.

JULY 21, 2001:
"The babies are in perfect condition!" Dr Graystone assured Tara, during her sonogram.
"I cant believe Im six months pregnant.." Tara said, looking at the screen, watching the two little figures move on the screen "I feel like Im nine months pregnant"
Dr Graystone laughed and turned off the screen.
"How are things with you, Tara? Is everything alright?"
"Things are alright, Im living.." Tara said. She let out a sigh.
The door opened and Nick walked into the room, sitting down in the chair beside the bed that Tara was laying on. She hadnt seen him since May, when she had left him.
"Im sorry Im late, Dr Graystone, I had a rehearsal with the boys" Nick announced.
"Its alright, we're just finishing up. Tara, you can change back into your clothes now. I'll be back in a few minutes" Dr Graystone said. Tara nodded her head, and the doctor left the room, shutting the door behind her.
"What are you doing here?" Tara asked, glaring at Nick. She didnt want to look into his eyes, she knew she'd want him back.
"These are my babies also, Tara.. I want to make sure that they are doing well" Nick said. He was right, he did have a right to be there. He is the twins father.
"How are they doing?" Nick asked, placing a hand on her stomach.
"They're doing well.. Dr Graystone said that they are in perfect health"
"Thats great news!" Nick exclaimed. He smiled at her with delight in the great news.
"Yup, it sure is.." Tara said.
"Tara... you know.. Im really sorry for everything that happened. I will get the truth and prove to you that I was faithful"
Tara stared at Nick and didnt say anything. She didnt know what to do.
"I hope for our sake that you do find the truth Nick... I really dont relish in the idea of not having the babies father around"
"I will be around.. and I will be with you. I loved you, and I still love you, and always will! I will prove to you that I never did you wrong"
"How do you suppose you'll do that, Nick?" Tara asked, starting to get upset.
"Dont get upset Tara, we dont want to upset the babies... but, Brian and I have been trying to find that girl from the club, you know, the one you think I slept with.."
"I have to get changed.." Tara said. She slid off the examining table and walked into the little bathroom to change.
A few moments later, she came back out in her regular clothes.
"I have to go.. Nick.. Justin is picking me up in a few minutes"
"So you are living with him?" Nick asked, disappointed.
"Its not what you think, Nick. I only see him as a friend.."
"Tara.. Mr Timberlake is here to pick you up" a nurse popped her head into the room. Tara looked back at Nick, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks for showing up, it means alot to me.." Tara said.
"I'll be showing up for everything" Nick said. Tara was about to walk away, when she heard Nick starting to cry. She turned around to face him, and saw a tear running down his cheek. She ran over to him and gave him a hug, he held her tightly.
"I love you Tara" Nick cried out.
"I love you too, Nick.." Tara replied.
"Why cant you just be with me? why cant you??"
"I... I ... I dont know... I really dont..." Tara said. She knew she had to go before he convinced her to go back with him.
She released from his embrace and ran out of the room, crying a few tears herself.
