HOW GIRLS SHOULD ACT:

Why am I writing this page? Well, I was reading my Bible as I usually do, and I started reading on 1 Timothy. What caught my eye was on some verses where they mentioned some instructions for women. I thought that it would help all of you girl visitors of this site. Guys: You can read this page, too, and get something from it. Maybe you even have a friend who is a girl, and you would like to share these verses with her. Whatever the cause, may you all get something from it.

How should women dress?

1 Peter 3:3-4 is: 3 Don't depend on things like fancy hairdos or gold jewelry or expensive clothes to make you look beautiful. 4 Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special.(My Thought: I wish all girls and boys could follow the deep meaning in this verse about the beauty in a heart!)

1 Timothy 2:9 is: I would like for women to wear modest and sensible clothes. They should not have fancy hairdos, or wear expensive clothes, or put on jewelry made of gold or pearls. (My Thought: I have found that these days girls are wearing clothes that do not follow this verse. Now it says that they shouldn’t have fancy hairdos, or wear expensive clothes, or put on jewelry made of gold or pearls. This verse is really confusing. If you are convicted (convicted, which means feeling that you should not) as doing these things, then you should not do it. I think the reason why girls maybe should not have expensive clothes is because they might spend too much money on what they wear and start loving money, which is a sin.)

What should women do?

1 Timothy 2:10 is: Women who claim to love God should do helpful things for others,

This doesn’t seem fair. Why should the woman be under her husband?

1 Timothy 2:13-14 is: 13 After all, Adam was created before Eve, 14 and the man Adam wasn’t the one who was fooled. It was the woman Eve who was completely fooled and sinned.

What are other characteristics that women should have?

1 Timothy 2:15 is: … stay faithful, loving, holy, and modest.

I know I am young, but people sometimes make fun of me because of that. What should I do?

1 Timothy 4:12 is: Don’t let anyone make fun of you just because you are young. Set and example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity. (My Thought: Women should be pure.)

Is gossip wrong?

1 Timothy 5:13 is: …Next, they will start gossiping and become busybodies, talking about things that are none of their business. (My Thought: I hear all too often girls who gossip. There are some who love to gossip. To be blunt... Gossip is wrong. Instead of talking about the “Sorry Side” of people, we should lift up people by what we say. ---Ephesians 4:29 is: Stop all your dirty talk. Say the right thing at the right time and help others by what you say.---)
