MY NEAT PAGE
This page is composed of many neat things. Enjoy!
This is a Bible-school chorus I got from my devotional:
You worry and you wonder how you’re gonna get it done,
From the rising of the moon ‘til the setting of the sun.
Plenty to do when your rest is through,
Let Him have the world for a turn or two.
Something else I got from my devotional:
Start each day by saying, “I’ll do my best today,” and avoid criticizing yourself for not doing everything perfectly. Ask the Lord for His grace and His peace to surround you, whispering prayers to Him throughout the day.
Trust Him to take all that happens to you --- both good and bad --- and make you stronger and wiser, using you in His great plan.
He will show you how to fly out of your current problems.
Jesus cares for you. He is your comforter, friend, protector, and the source of all creativity and beauty. Thank Him today for His love for you. (My thought: Thank Him every day for all He has blessed you with!)
God’s Word stands the test of time and serves as your foundation in every situation.
Pray for strength to remain calm, cheerful, relaxed, and refreshed in the midst of the crisis.
Have you been talked out of any part of your Christianity?
Don’t let bad things control you, but let God control you so He can get you through them.
If someone can persuade you to follow Jesus, then someone else can persuade you not to.
Are you convinced or converted?
Could it be that He (God) would enjoy hearing prayers in which we simply tell Him what is happening, what we find funny or interesting about our lives, and what delights us or gives us joy? Could it be that He would enjoy hearing a good joke from our lips, rather than a string of incessant petitions? It just might be.
This is a devotional from my devotional book. I am getting to the end of it, and that makes me a little sad. Here is a devotional from “Tea Time with God”.
Faith is assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 1:1
Trees have specific seasons for dormancy – a time when the tree appears to be inactive and not growing. This season of rest comes immediately prior to a season of rapid and accelerated growth. During dormancy, the cells and tissues within the tree are being repaired and built up. This activity is invisible to the eye. The tree is quietly preparing for the vigor of spring. Dormancy is one of the most important periods in the life cycle of the tree. It is how a tree becomes fit for the later demands of adding new wood to its structure and bearing its fruit. The benefits of dormancy apply to people as well. There is a mistaken notion that to be effective we must always be active. But people also have seasons in their lives when God is preparing them for what lies ahead. Not knowing the future ourselves, we often have to come to a deep trust in God during times when nothing seems to be happening in our lives. Inactivity must not be equated with nonproductivity – God is at work behind the scenes! It takes patience and humility to get through a time of dormancy. Most of us desire to be productive at all times so we can “get ahead” in our lives. We need to recognize there are times when, unbeknownst to us, God has to work in our hearts to prepare us for our destiny. We need to humble ourselves before Him and realize we didn’t create ourselves. We can’t know fully what it is we will need in our future. Dormant times call for us to wait on the Lord and trust Him to do His work in our hearts. We can rest assured He is preparing us for something great, in His timing and according to His purpose.
It's good to do what is good, but it's better to do what is best!
When God takes role, Jesus will be in my place.
Jesus not only lived for us, but He died for us!
There are around 316 laws in the Old Testament. Thank the Lord we are saved by grace!
Live by grace and not by the Law.
Life is not about what we must do, but who we love.
If we can't do any work to be Saved, but are saved by the grace of God, then can we do any work to become Lost?
To know the Book is good. To know the Author is better.
When I pray I:
like to release all of my feelings whether good or bad.
talk to God about my feelings.
give thanks to Him.
Jesus is my hero!
