A Little About Me

My name is Liz Upton. I live in Dublin, Ireland. I'm 16 years old. I attend Presentation Secondary School, Terenure and I'm in 4rd year. Presently I am bumming around and doing feck all work and I am loving it.
I belong to quite a crazy family. There is my Mam and Dad, my three brothers, Henry (19), Paddy (17) and Bob (11) and of course (who could forget?), my black labrador, Fred. They are all nutters and life with them is often very, very strange!! But fun, it's always a LOT of fun!!
Apart from music my interests are, watching films, reading, watching tv (my favourite shows are Father Ted, The X-Files, The Simpsons) seeing my favourite bands perform live (Upcoming events: HOMELANDS A-WOO-HOO!!!! talking to crazed loons in internet chat rooms (and yes Muiris I do mean u, u porn lover!), wandering aimlessly around Dublin town, arseing around with my best friends Carol and Ruth, watching Brendans report on DFTG (Jesus in the da house!) and getting many a bus to Clontarf to see my mental friends out there.

Things I Love

My family (awwww!!)

My Dog (once again, awwwww!!)

My Mam's home cooking. The woman makes the best Lasagna in the world.

My wierdo friends from Clontarf.

The smell of freshly cut grass on a summer morning.

Walking around Dublin town and going to weird places like St. George's Market and the top of St. Stephen's Green Shopping Center.

Talking!

Guys with American accents.

Going to the pub with my Dad when we're in the country.

Live Irish music.

How weird my friends Carol and Ruth are, and the fact that no matter what I say to them they won't laugh at me (unless what I say is suppposed to be funny of course!!)

How Ruth, Carol and I are so different from other girls our age. And the fact that we don't give a shite.

My friend Todd, for introducing me to some really excellent films and for being so nice.

The cute buskers on Grafton St. that sing Beatles songs.

David Duchovny

My internet pal Ron Roczogski for sending me the kickiest pictures of Jewel.

The smell of freshly made coffee.

Chips on a really cold night in the country, when you've just come out of the pub.

Drinking Tea.

The cool guy on Grafton St. who plays the bottles on his knees. (The man is a national treasure!!)

Old black and white films.

Things I Hate

Bands that don't put their lyrics on the album sleeves. Do they not realise we want to sing along?

Having to studying for exams when you know there's something really good on TV.

Stupid teeny-bopper bands that don't write their own songs and do really bad cover versions of great songs....why do the names Boyzone and 911 suddenly come to mind?!!

Having to get up early for school, on freezing cold winter mornings and then going out to the car only to realise that the heater is broken.

When my stupid brother insists on stealing my Beatles CD's. Yes Henry, I'm talking about YOU!!

Having to try on clothes in shops that have communal dressing rooms....what the hell is that about??

Having to try on clothes, period.

Books that have "to be continued..." at the end and then it takes the author five years to get around to writing the sequel.

My little brother Bob constantly talking to me about his N64 James Bond game. Does he not realise that I don't care? I've said it to him enough times.

People who sing along to songs when they don't know the lyrics. You people are SO irritating!!

My Favourite Links

A great X-Files website. It has everything you could ever want to know about the X-Files on it.
My friend Todd's wicked homepage. Check out his fantastic writings and pictures.
Very cool.

You know when you don't know the lyrics to your favourite song? That can drive a person crazy. It happens to me frequently. This is the best site, there are over 100,000 lyrics on here and you can search for your fave artist. An excellent site.
A great chat room. There's a room for everyone here. And there are often great chats with celebrites happening. Definately worth a look.
A great look at my home town of Dublin. There are brilliant pictures and the information is very detailed. (Take a look at the government buildings, it's where my Dad works!!)

If anyone wants to e-mail me to tell how much they love me or (God forbid) how much I suck, feel free to write to me at upton@indigo.ie

Later!
