KEVIN'S INTERVIEW



SB- Do you ever question why the Backstreet Boys are successful and maybe another band is not and they are equaly as talented. Do you think life is fair? How do you explain the success.

Kevin- I think the way we got together, the way we came together is just destiny. That's what I left
it up to. We all just love music, all our musical influences together combined in our voices has a
very unique sound. Our harmonys together, background vocals, makes our sound unique. We just
try to be real, we don't try to be something that we are not.

SB- You were singing back home, I know that sometimes you were discouraged, you had a few bands, there were sometimes when you questioned your self. What made you pack your bags and go to Orlando? Why Orlando?

Kevin- Orlando, Flordia would be a good place cause I heard it was going to be like the new
Hollywood and because they do a lot of casting there, not necessarily for lead roles, but you can get
a start, a foot in the door as far as acting, television or music. I knew Walt Disney World was there
and it was just at the begining of summer and I though it would be easy to get a job there. So me
and My best friend took off the next day, went home and packed our bags, quit our jobs and left the
next morning.

SB- So what happened, you get to Disney World and became a tour guide.

Kevin- I was a tour guide first cause all their singing and acting positions were filled and I needed a
job.

SB- You met up with someone who told you about these 3 guys who sany acappela and you decided you wanted to met with them?

Kevin- Well after I worked in Orlando for almost 2 years, a friend of mine told me about a group, 3
guys, they needed another singer. They had a local record company behind them, it would be no
trouble getting exposer. I thought wow that sounds right up my ally.

SB- We notice when we read all the thank-yous from the bandmembers of Backstreet Boys that the first thank-you is God, yours is also God, there is a special thank-you to your Dad because your Dad is deceased, he died in 1991. I got the impression from what I read that that has really affected you.

Kevin- Definatly. I think it made me realize that life is shor and you've gotta go for it.

SB- Did your father know exactly what your dream was? Did he get to see you do some of it?

Kevin- Before he passed away it was really cool, I guess things happen for a reason, my brother
from Dallas, he's a model, my brother who wa in collage at UK, my mother and father came to
Orlando and got to see me. I gave a tour and we all got to have a vacation together and that was our
last vacation together cause when my father got home he was diagnosed with cancer, so..

SB- Do you speak to him sometimes, because i know that spirtuallity is very important?

Kevin- Yeah.

SB- Do you feel he's with you? Do you feel he knows what your doing?

Kevin- I definatly think that he's watching, I just wish I could talk to him personally sometimes, get
some advice and feedback and see what he thinks of things.
