"Im what?!?!?" Tara said shocked, not knowing whether the news should be good news or bad. Right away, Tara started worrying how Nick would react.
"Oh my God! I cant believe it!! This is soo amazing!!!" Nick said as he jumped out of his seat and pulled Tara up and hugged her. Nick was soo excited and happy about the news, Tara was soo confused!! She thought that Nick wouldnt be happy about it!
"I'll give you a few minutes to yourselves.." Dr Timberlake said, and then she left the room, closing the door behind her.
Tara stood there speechless, not knowing what to say.
"This is soo amazing! Im soo happy!!!" Nick said, truelly happy. He was all smiles, and was soo excited.
"You dont seem that happy, Tara" Nick said, referring to Taras shocked look on her face.
"I just dont know what to think about it! I mean, I really am happy about it!!! I was just worried about what you would think" Tara said starting to act more happy "And of course, the news is such a shock!!" Tara added.
Nick was soo happy that he had a few tears coming down from his eyes, running along his cheek.
"Well, you dont have to worry Tara!!! This is the happiest news!!!! and Im really happy and excited about it! Man!!" Nick hugged Tara and then gave her a kiss. Tara understood now that Nick was really happy about the news, and then she started to cry happily too.
"We're having a baby!!!!" Nick said happily, holding onto Tara, and then he wiped her tears away.
"This is really what you want??" Tara said, for further reassurance.
"are you kidding??? Of course!! I love you soo much! And our love made this baby!" Nick said proudly.
Dr Timberlake re-entered the room, seeing the proud couple in all smiles.
"Would you like to know the date of conceivement?"
"We kind of have an idea.." Tara said.
"July 30!" Nick said happily.
"yes! Thats correct! We also have an estimate on the date of birth too.. April 30!"
Tara and Nick smiled at eachother, and then talked to the doctor about some other details, and then left the office.
Nick and Tara drove immediately over to AJ's house, where Karine was spending some time with AJ.
*DING DONG* went the doorbell of AJ's white mansion.
AJ ran to the door, and opened it up.
"hey guys! Come on in!" AJ said. Nick and Tara walked in, and then took off their shoes. AJ walked into the room that Karine was in, followed by Nick and Tara.
"Oh hey guys! How was your appointment?" Karine asked, just a general question.
"It was very... interesting" Tara said. Karine looked at her strangely, and then knew somethign was up.
"is something wrong, Tara?" karine asked worried.
"Nope, infact, everythings all right! Nick and I just found out that we are having a baby!!" Tara said, proudly, with Nick standing beside her, his arm around her, holding her proudly.
"AHHHH are you serious?!?!?" Karine said happily, jumping off the couch.
"100% serious!!!" Tara said. Karine ran up and gave Tara a long hug, and then hugged Nick. AJ shook hands with Nick, congratulating him, and then hugged Tara.
"Hey, does this mean you two are getting married?" AJ said.
"Well, you see, thats the funny part! Yesterday I asked Tara to marry me, when we moved her into our house! and then today, we found out she is pregnant!" Nick said "SO, two pieces of happy news!!".
AJ pulled Nick aside to talk to him in private.
"Hey man, how are you taking the news?" AJ asked.
"What do you mean?" Nick asked.
"Are you seriously happy about it, or are you just acting happy, for Taras sake?" Aj asked.
"Im seriously happy about it, AJ! I love Tara soo much, and to have a baby with her is just soo awesome!! I love it! And Im truelly excited and happy about it!" Nick said.
"Are you sure?" AJ asked.
"Of course im sure!! Cant you tell by how happy I am?" Nick said.
"Yeah, you do seem really happy about it! I just thought you might think you are too young to be a dad" AJ said.
"Hey, im not that young! I am 18! My mom had me when she was 18! and look how happy my family is! And also, this feels soo right" Nick said seriously. AJ smiled and patted Nick on the back, and then they went back to the girls, who were sitting on the couch, laughing and talking.
Later that night, Nick and Tara went over to his parents house for dinner.
"Soo, hows the new house?" Jane asked Nick and Tara.
"its really nice!!! and its also cool that we're right next door to you" Nick said.
After supper was over, the Carter family and Tara sat around the table, talking about whatever was new, things about Aarons career, BSB, and Tara.
"Speaking of Tara, we have a few things to tell you!" Nick said, and then he stood up, reached out for Taras hand and then stood her up.
"Yesterday afternoon, when we arrived back in Florida, I brought Tara into the house, and I asked her to marry me! And, she said yes!" Nick said, and then he smiled.
"Congratulations Nick!!! Congratulations Tara!! We're really happy for you!" Jane said, standing up and giving her son, and Tara a hug. Nicks dad, Bob, stood up and hugged Tara and Nick also, and was really happy for them too.
".. And, theres something else we have to tell you! And its really ironic!!!" Nick said.
"Well, you see, today, we went to the doctors office to get a health check thing, like new doctors usually do when they get new patients.." Nick went on.."And.. mom, dad, We're having a baby!!" Nick said happily again.
Nicks parents stood there speechless, and Tara felt a bit uncomfortable by the silentness.
".. Umm.. what do you think?" Nick asked, starting to get worried because everyone was silent.
"Oh Nick! We dont mean to be silent, its just such a big shock!!!" Jane said.
"We're happy if you are, Nick! All we want is to make sure that you are happy!" Bob said.
"WHy does everyone keep asking me if Im happy? Im OVERHAPPY about it!!! Im ECSTATIC!!!!!" Nick said.
Hearing that Nick was really happy about the news, Nicks mom and Dad smiled, and then said that they were happy too! Jane gave Tara a hug, and then assured Tara that they were really happy about the news.
"Im glad to hear that! I thought you guys wouldnt be happy.." Tara admitted.
"All we want is for Nick to be happy, and since he is happy, we are happy too! And we are excited for you guys! and for ourselves also! This will be my first grandchild!" Jane said, smiling at Tara, and then hugged her again.
"Hey, does this mean I am going to be an uncle again??" Aaron asked.
"Yup buddy!!" Nick said, picking up Aaron and putting him on his back.
"Hey, now I can finally beat someone at basketball!" Aaron said happy.
Nick and Tara laughed and then Aaron jumped back to the floor.
After a few hours of visiting at Nicks parents house, Nick and Tara returned home.
Tara changed into a pair of Nicks boxers, and one of his tshirts, and Nick just changed into boxers. Nick climbed into bed, and motioned for Tara to come and join him. Tara got into their bed, and then pulled the covers up to her chin. Nick turned off the lights, and then turned the TV on with the remote, and turned on a movie. Tara snuggled up next to Nick, who cuddled back with her. After the movie was over, Nick and Tara celebrated their happy news.
AJ invited Karine to spend the night at his house, and Karine accepted his offer.
AJ turned the lights off in the livingroom, so the only light was coming from the flowing fireplace which was set ablaze. AJ stood infront of Karine and started kissing her, and then slowly and gently pushed her down onto the floor. Karine pulled AJ towards her, making him go with her. Karine and AJ made love in AJ's livingroom, on the floor infront of the fireplace. After they were finished, AJ and Karine cuddled together, and then Karine started talking about Nick and Tara.
"Im soo happy for Nick and Tara!" Karine said to AJ.
"yeah, me too, although i dont know how I would be if I was Nick" AJ said.
"What are you talking about?" Karine asked.
"I mean, we're still young! And Nicks even younger than us! And I just dont get why hes soo happy about it!" AJ said.
"Hes happy about it because he loves Tara! And the thought of them making a baby together makes him totally happy!!" Karine explained to AJ.
"Yeah, I know.. I just dont know how I would be if I was him" AJ said. "everyone is different" He added. Karine laid there beside him, thinking about how different AJ's view was totally opposite of hers, and then wondered what would ever happen if she was Tara, and if AJ was Nick.
