"Hows your back feeling, hunny?" Nick said as he brought breakfast into their room.
"It still hurts, but I can move it a bit more" Tara said.
"I brought you some breakfast!!" Nick said, as he hopped back into bed, and gave Tara a glass of orange juice and a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon and toast.
"Awwww... thats soo sweet of you!!!! Hows Brian doing?" Tara asked, taking the plate of food.
"Hes doing alright, he got a good nights sleep. The police are back.. for further investigation. They're questioning some more people today" Nick replied.
"Think they'll be questioning us?" Tara asked nervous.
"Yeah, they probably will. Dont worry, though! It'll be nothing. Just tell what you know, and thats it" Nick said.
At around 11am, AJ and Karine left the hotel to spend the day out on the town. AJ wanted to take Karine out of the hotel because of what happened the night before, and wanted to have a nice day with his woman.
The police started questioning again at noon time. They started off with Nick and Tara, members of N SYNC, and then questioned some other visitors who had rooms on the same floor that they didnt question the other day.
Denise McLean walked down the hallway, rushing to find the policeman who was doing the interrogating.
"Excuse me, sir? I have something very important to tell you, its about the case" Denise said in a rush.
"Excuse me" The policeman said to the people he was questioning.
"Call me Mike" the policeman said.
"Ok, Mike.. Theres this old couple over here that I just talked to who say they are witnesses that Brian Littrell did not murder Leigh Anne" Denise said. Mike looked at the old couple, then at Denise, and walked over to them.
"Hello. Please take a seat" Mike said to the couple. The old man and woman sat down, and let Mike ask the questions.
"Where were you last evening?" Mike asked.
"We were coming back to the hotel after seeing the matinee performance of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. We arrived at the hotel at around 3:45" Old man said.
"What happened as you arrived at the hotel?" Mike asked.
"We arrived on the top floor at around 3:55. At this time, we saw the young man, Brian Littrell, exit the young womans room. The woman was screaming behind him. We watched as Brian entered his room, then came out 5 minutes later and left the hotel" The old man continued.
"Did you see anyone else on the floor at the time Littrell left?" Mike asked.
The old man stood sat for a minute and thought.
"Well, as I was closing the door.. I saw a man come up to the floor, but I didnt really take notice cuz I was shutting my door" The man said.
"Can you describe this man for me, sir?" Mike asked.
"Well.. he was about 6', 160 pounds, but i couldnt see his face because he had a big hat on, and his face was faced to the ground" The man said.
After further questioning, Mike let the old couple go, and went to talk to Brian.
Brian opened the door after Mike knocked, and invited him in. Mike walked in and stood in the doorway, and shut to door behind him.
"good news, Littrell, your cleared!" Mike said. Brian was soo happy, and was soo glad that his name was cleared. Mike told Brian the story, and asked Brian if he remembers a man at all, coming into the hallway as he was exiting. Brian didnt remember such a man, and then Mike thanked him and walked out.
Brian met up with the rest of the BSB, minus AJ since he was out with Karine, downstairs in the lobby.
"Hey man.. what happened? You look soo happy!" Kevin said.
"Im cleared!!!!!! Im not a suspect anymore!!" Brian said happily!
Nick and Tara, Kev, and D all stood up and hugged Brian. They were all soo happy that Brian was no longer a suspect, and they could go on with the rest of their tour with no problems.
The group went out for supper that evening, to celebrate Brians happy news. As they arrived back at the hotel, the secretary waved the group over to the registration desk.
"Theres a note here for Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Nick Carter"
Brian took the note that has his name on it, and Nick took his and AJ's.
"Hey wanna go swimming???" Howie suggested, eyeing the huge olympic sized indoor pool the hotel had.
"Hey thats a great idea!" Kev said. AJ and Karine came back from their afternoon out, and decided to join the others in the swim.
"Whos going in first?!?!?" Brian asked, eyeing people he could throw in.
AJ picked up Karine, and held her over his shoulder then threw her in the pool, jumping in immediately right after. Karine came up from the water, and swam after AJ, trying to dunk him.
Before Tara could run, Nick grabbed her, pulled her close to him and jumped in while hanging onto her. Both of them came up for air, and Tara play hit Nick on the side of the head. Tara reached up and grabbed Howies hand, and pulled him into the pool, while Nick quickly got out, pushing Kev into the pool and pushed Brian into the pool also, then jumped back in.
After two hours of swimming and playing around the pool, the group sat in the poolside chairs, and were drying off. Brian pulled out the envelope from his jeans pocket. BRIAN LITTRELL, was spelt in black ink on the plain white envelope. Brian ripped the envelope open, and found a card inside. Opening the card, there was a msg written with magazine letters, spelling out "You Wont Get Off So Easy Next Time".
"What the hell is this?" Brian said, then showed people the note.
"Who would do such a thing???" Tara asked.
"You think it was that police man?" Nick asked.
"No..." Brian said.
"I think you should bring it to the police" Kevin said. "Maybe its Leigh Annes murderer!!".
Remember that he had a note, Nick pulled out his from his pocket. The envelope was the exact same as Brians, except had his name on it. As Nick opened the envelope, he had a card also, with the same lettering as Brians, altho, he had a different message.
"Stab Wounds hurt more than slipping on Ice" the note said. Nick pulled Tara close to him, and then wouldnt let go of her.
"What did it say???" Tara asked, worried.
"Hun... you dont wanna know" Nick said. Nick passed Kevin the letter, while Kevin, Howie, AJ, and Brian read it.
"Nick, make sure you keep Tara with you at all times" Kevin warned Nick. "NEVER leave her out of your site".
"Hey AJ, didnt you get a letter also???" Howie asked.
"yeah" AJ said, pulling out the third white envelope, same as the others.
AJ slowly opened the envelope, and had Karine stand with Kevin while he read it.
The lettering was the same as the other two, however, this message was much more disturbing...
"You're next" .
