Tara and BJ headed to the hair salon on December 17th to get their hair ready for the semiformal dance that night. The semiformal dance is the christmas dance of the year, that you dress up really nice for. Girls usually wear really nice dresses, and guys wear nice suits!
BJ had a date with Josh, who somehow had treated Tara and BJ nicely lately. BJ agreed to go to the semiformal with him because he was nice to her, and he was also cute!
Tara was going with Nick, and had found the most amazing dress that Nick would love!!!
At around 5pm that night, Nick drove up to Tara and BJ's beachhouse and walked in. Nick was dressed up in black suit that was made out of really cool material, and was really nice, kinda like a silky material. He wore the suit to an awards show in the past year, and he knew it was one of Tara's favs!
"Im here!!" Nick said loudly, as he walked into their house.
Tara came down the stairs, wearing a long green velvetty dress that went down to her feet. The dress had little straps, no sleeves, and was a very soft velvet. It also happened to be Nicks favourite color, dark green.
"wow!! You look amazing" Nick said, looking her up and down.
"Thanks" Tara said, smiling at Nick. "You look really great!" Tara said "I love that suit!!!!" and she smiled at Nick again, before giving him a hug and a kiss.
"Ready to go?" Nick asked, holding out his arm for Tara. Tara grabbed onto his arm, and he led her out to his car.
Dinner was served at 6pm, and then the dance started at 8. Tara and Nick had a really great time at the dance, and had no troubles caused by Ryan, which they thought was weird.
On December 23, AJ was still in the hospital. He wasn't sick anymore, however, the doctors wanted him to stay in the substance abuse unit to get help for his problem. Denise came into the doctors office with her lawyer, to make some kind of deal so AJ could come home for christmas, and then go back after. After talking in the office for about half an hour, Denise walked into AJ's room, where he was sitting down on a couch listening to his walkman. AJ looked up and saw his mother standing there, and took his headphones off.
"Hey mom" AJ said, standing up and greeting his mother with a hug.
"Hello Alex! How are you feeling today?" Denise asked.
"Alright.. kind of sad though, Christmas is coming up" AJ said.
"I have good news for you, its part of your christmas present" Denise smiled at AJ.
"what is it?" AJ asked curious.
"I've arranged it so that you can come home for christmas. We can take you home right now, and you have to go back on the 27th" Denise said. AJ smiled soo largely and was soo happy about the good news. Going home for Christmas meant the world to him.
AJ hopped out of the car, and stepped onto the grass of the place he grew up in, his home that his mother lives in, and that he used to live in. Denise and AJ walked through the complex, and unlocked their door. As AJ walked in, people shouted "SURPRISe!!!!" AJ kind of jumped from the shock, and infront of him, saw the most amazing beautifully decorated christmas tree, and a beautifully decorated home! AJ looked around at all the familiar faces of the people in the room, there was his grandparents, his father, Lou Pearlman, Nick, Brian, Kevin, Howie, Aaron Carter, Tara and Karine.
"wow! Thanks everyone!! What a nice surprise" AJ said cooly.
"We're soo glad that you can be home for christmas" AJ's grandmother said, and hugged him.
After talking to his grandparents, Karine gave AJ a hug because she was glad that her friend was home.
"Im feeling alot better now, and Im trying to solve my problem" AJ said quietly to Karine, while they were sitting down at the kitchen table, while everyone else was having a party.
After the party was over, everyone left except for Karine.
"I've invited Karine to spent the night with us for Christmas" Denise said.
"Thats cool, thanks mom" AJ said. AJ went to bed that night, feeling very tired, and was happy to be home. Nothing felt etter than being in his own bed, in his own sheets.
"So are you coming to spend Christmas eve with us?" Nick pursued Tara on the phone "BJ's coming over for the night, for christmas, and your invited toO!! You can stay in BJ's room" Nick said.
"I dont know.. wouldnt it be weird since Im not part of your family?" Tara asked.
"of course not! Infact, it was my moms and dads idea! They want you here.. they got you presents too!" Nick said.
"heheh you really want me to come dont you?" Tara asked wanting to go.
"of course I do! I want to give you the present I got for you, also!" Nick said.
"Okay.. I'd love to come" Tara said. Tara packed her bags, and same with BJ. Nick came over shortly later, and picked both of them up and brought them over to the Carter house.
"You havent decorated the tree yet.." Tara said, noticing the bare christmas tree in the main room.
"Yeah, its tradition.. we like to do it on christmas eve as a family" Nick said. Tara and BJ unpacked their stuff into BJ's old room, which had two beds in it.
Later that night, the Carters brought out the christmas tree ornaments, and called everyone down, including Tara, to come help decorate the christmas tree.
When the tree was all decorated, the only thing left to do was put the angel on the top.
"I wanna do it!!!" Lesley said, however, it was her turn last year to put it up.
"Lesley hunny, you did that last year. Its Nicks turn this time" Jane explained. Nick took the Angel in his hands and grabbed a chair.
"You dont need a chair Nick" BJ said, since Nick was quite tall.
"The chair is for Tara! I want her to help me" Nick said, grinning. Tara stood on the chair, and reached up with Nick, and put the angel ontop of the christmas tree. Mr Carter turned the lights on the tree on, and the tree looked soo pretty!! Everyone went to the fake fireplace, and put their stockings on the mantle.
"I have a stocking for you too.." Nick said "since i knew you didnt have one here". Nick pulled out this red stocking from behind him that had her name on it, and put it up on the mantle. Tara hugged Nick, and Nick gave her a kiss. The young kids went to bed, leaving the parents up, and Nick, Tara and BJ up also.
BJ went to bed shortly later, leaving Tara and Nick some time alone.
Tara was sitting on the couch in her PJ's, and Nick was in his boxers and a tshirt. Nick had his arm around Tara, while they watched a christmas movie that was playing on TV.
The movie ran pretty late, and soon, Tara and Nick fell asleep on the couch, wrapped up in a comforter in the dark, with the TV still running. At around 1am, Jane and Bob entered the family room, where Tara and Nick were asleep. They were going to bring the presents downstairs to put under the tree, when they noticed Nick and Tara asleep on the couch.
"They look soo cute" Jane said "but they gotta wake up, and go to their own rooms!"
Bob waked up Nick, and then Nick didnt want to wake up Tara. Nick picked Tara up in his arms and brought her upstairs, and carried her into BJ's room. Nick laid Tara down on her bed, and put her under the covers, then covered her up, kissed her forehead and then went into his own room to go to bed.
