"5....4...3...2...1.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!" Everyone screamed! It was officially the year 2000, and everyone was going completely haywire.
Justin pulled Tara to him and gave her a long New Year kiss, which was immediately followed by a long kiss from Nick.
Both boys gave eachother dirty looks while the other was doing their thing, both trying to get Tara to themselves.
Tara felt the tension and wanted to get out, so she made her way over to Brian to give him a hug for New Years.
"Whats all that about, Carter?" Justin asked.
"I'm just giving Tara a new years kiss" Nick replied.
"Excuse me, shes MY date" Justin said "Incase you forgot, she has been my girlfriend from Day 1 in Florida"
"Yeah, well, watch out, cuz I'm going to have her" Nick said.
"You want to take this outside?" Justin screamed to Nick. Tara and Brian rushed over to the situation.
"Yo, Frack, come here... I want you to see something.." Brian said, trying to divert Nick from fighting with Justin. Nick stared at Justin.
"We'll settle this later" Nick said, and then turned around to go off with Brian.
"Justin.. I think we better go.." Tara said "I dont want anything to happen here, or anyone get hurt"
"Too late for that, Tara.. someone is going to get hurt"
"lets go back to your place, okay?" Tara said, she just wanted to get him out of the party and away from Nick.
"okay.." Justin said. Tara went over to Nick, Brian, Karine, AJ, Mar and Kevin and said goodbye. She told Nick she'd see him back at home.
Justin called his limo to pick up him and Tara from the party and to bring him back to his house. They arrived back at Justin's at about 1am, his house was in complete darkness.
"Where is everyone?" Tara asked.
"Mom and Paul are in New York" Justin replied, turning on the lights. He shut and locked the door after they entered the house.
"Im sorry about everything that happened tonight.." Tara said frowning "You dont know how bad I feel.."
"Now that I have you all alone to myself... can I ask you something?" Justin said.
"Of course.."
Justin gave her a kiss, and kept his head close to hers. He put his mouth near her ear.
"Will you spend the night with me?" Justin whispered to her.
Tara sighed to herself silently.
"Oh Justin, I dont know if that would be such a good idea..."
"Why not? I love you"
"I love you too, but Justin, you know the situation.."
"yeah, I know the situation.."
"But there is something else you dont know, that I think I have to tell you"
"What is it? I can handle anything" Justin said.
"I dont know how to say this, Justin.. but... shortly after you said for me to start dating Nick.. something happened between Nick and I"
"oh god... what happened?" Justin asked, trying to stay calm.
"Well.. we kind of ended up, in bed.." Tara said, closing her eyes. She took a seat on Justin's couch and put her head in her hands. Justin started to fume but tried to remain calm, he didnt want her to see him get angry.
"I.. I dont know what to say..." Justin said, feeling kind of disappointed.
"But I feel really bad about myself for doing it, Justin! I havent told ANYONE that! I'm really sorry!" Tara said, starting to cry.
"shhh... its going to be alright, Tara.." Justin said, comforting her. He sat down beside her and gave her a long hug.
"I understand.. I know everything has been soo confusing for you the past two weeks" Justin did kind of understand, but was still upset that she slept with Nick, he wanted to be the one to sleep with her. He knew that this really meant war against Nick.
Tara stopped her crying and Justin wiped away her tears.
"I lie awake... I drive myself crazy, drive myself crazy, thinking of you.... made a mistake when I let you go baby, I drive myself crazy, wanting you the way that I do.." Justin sang to her softly.
"You know Tara, I blame this on myself. If I didnt let you go and start to date Nick like that, this mistake would never have happened. I want you, Tara" Justin said, leaning down to give her a kiss.
"and I know that you want me too" He added. He kissed her again, slipping his hands under her shirt to touch the bare skin of her back. His touch sent a shiver down Tara.
"Justin.. I want you to hold me.." Tara said softly.
"Anything for you.." Justin said. He carefully picked up Tara and carried her to his room, lying down on the bed with her under the covers. He held her in his arms and let her rest. Tara was unable to fall asleep, but just loved the feeling of being in his arms.
"You know, this feels really good.." Tara said, thinking about her feelings.
"I know, I feel the same way" Justin said, stroking her hair softly.
"Happy New Years, Tara" Justin said out of nowhere.
"Happy New Years" Tara said. She leaned up to give him a kiss, Justin made this one last.
"You really do want me?" Tara asked.
"of course I do, I love you"
"I love you too" Tara said, she knew her love for Justin was genuine, she was only unsure of her love for Nick.
Tara ran her hands up and down the length of Justin's nicely muscled arms and kissed his shoulder, he grinned at her.
Tara grabbed the bottom of his muscle shirt and lifted it off of him.
"are.. you sure you want to do this?" Justin asked. He knew that she knew he wanted to.
Tara nodded her head at him "Im sure" Tara replied.
"What about Nick?" Justin asked right away.
"I think that my love for him isnt genuine, and that it is only fan-based..." Tara replied "I told him tonight that we can't let what happened the other night, happen again"
"Will you tell him that you guys can't date?" Justin asked. He wanted Tara all to himself.
Tara sighed and quickly thought about it and agreed to have a talk with Nick, to tell him that they can only remain friends, and only friends.
Justin turned and climbed ontop of Tara, kissing her softly.
He roamed his hands down her sides and reached for the bottom rim of her shirt, lifting it above her head. He stared down at her chest for a moment and then looked up at her and smiled.
"Hold on, I gotta spice up the place.." Justin said. He quickly got off of the bed and turned the lights down low, and turned on some romantic music.
Justin pulled Tara off the bed, standing her up infront of him.
Tara grinned at Justin, caressing his chest with her hands, he wrapped his arms around her to kiss her neck.
Tara slid her hands a little lower to the buttonfly's Justin was sporting, and unbuttoned each one slowly, making him wait in anticipation of what she was going to do next.
Justin's buttonfly jeans fell to the ground and he stepped out of them, kicking them off to the side near his chair. Tara looked down at his boxers, which had little glow in the dark basketballs on them. She could see that he was in the mood, his boxers were pitching a tent.
Tara leaned up to kiss Justin on the lips, listening to his breathing pace as it quickly picked up.
In the midst of kissing, she lowered her hand to his manhood, gently touching it from the outside, which made him give out a moan in return.
Justin grabbed her hand and gently placed it on the inside of his boxers, so she could have the real thing. While she was busy doing that, he undid her jeans and let them fall off onto the floor.
Tara removed her hand from his boxers as he took her hand into his, and led her over to the bed.
"Are you feeling alright?" Justin asked, just to be assured that this is what she really wanted to do.
"Im feeling perfectly fine..." Tara replied "this feels perfect.."
"Thats what I was hoping to hear" He said, laying her back down and climbing back ontop of her.
Tara pushed off his boxers and he quickly removed her under clothing, making themselves available for what they were planning to do.
Justin grabbed both of Tara's hands into his and them them above her head for a few moments, then gently wrapped her arms around his neck. She caressed his back and shoulders while he carressed her body, and then he slowly entered himself into her.
Tara moaned as the feeling of Justin's body inside hers rushed throughout her.
Justin and Tara continued to make love to one another for the next forty minutes, changing the pace from slow to fast, then slow again, making eachother reach their climaxes together.
Tara left Justin's house the next morning at about 10am to head home, Justin dropped her off on his way to some important business he had to do with N SYNC. He gave her a long kiss in his Benz before saying his goodbyes.
"Will you be coming over again tonight?" Justin asked Tara.
"I was hoping I could..." Tara said with a grin.
"I was hoping you would too.." Justin replied with a smile. He gave her another kiss.
"I'll pick you up tonight at 6!" Justin replied "Love you"
"Love you too!" Tara said. Justin started up his Benz and took off down the driveway.
Tara unlocked the front door and headed into the house. Nick was sitting on the couch, waiting for her.
"Nick... " Tara said, startled.
"Tara! Where have you been? Oh wait.. let me guess.. you were at Justins having a good old time with him"
"Nick, that's not the way it is.."
"Then what way is it Tara?"
"Nick, I dont think its a good idea if we date, alright? I'm with Justin, and have been for many months now, we have a history.."
"I've known you longer than Justin has"
"Yeah, but you and I.. we're best friends Nick, and I dont think we should jeopordize that.."
"What about your feelings for me? You said you loved me"
"I do.. but.. I believe that my feelings for you are just fan-related, Nick.. Im sorry..."
"Im not going to give up on you Tara. Go ahead, go be with Justin. But I promise you, this is not the end.." Nick said, and then he got up and left the house, slamming to door behind him.
"Kevin? Can you come and pick me up? i really need to talk to Mar" Tara said.
"Sure... I'll be right there.." Kevin replied. Tara hung up the phone and got ready to go to Mar's house.
Twenty minutes later, Kevin arrived with AJ, and brought Tara back to Kev's house, where Mar and Karine were waiting for her.
"Hey Tara... what is it?" Karine asked. Karine didnt know much about the situation, infact, Mar knew more about the situation than Karine did.
"I kinda told Nick that I only want to be friends.." Tara said.
"What?? Why did you do that? Tara I thought you were going to date both of them.." Mar said.
"I was going to.. but I seriously think that my feelings for Nick are just fan-related, and I think it was a big mistake that NIck and I ever slept together" Tara said.
"WHAT?!?!? Tara... you slept with Nick?" Karine said with a loud voice. She was in complete shock.
"uhh.. yeah... Christmas day.. it just kinda happened.. and well, I thought I loved him, like the way I love Justin, but the more confused I get the more I believe that my feeligns for Nick are just fan-related feelings.."
"How come you never told me?!?!?" Karine asked, feeling a little insulted for not hearing the news.
"Well, I tried, but, you were'nt home, so I came to Mars.." Tara replied "and as it stands right now, I blew off dating Nick, but he still vows that he is going to get me, and Im going to only see Justin, who I know I really do love"
"Tara, what if you really do love Nick?" Karine asked.
"Well... if I do.. I guess only time will tell, right? I dont want to be with Nick for the wrong reasons, Karine.. I want to be with him if I love him wholeheartedly, and not just cuz hes Nick Carter, Backstreet Boy. If I really do love Nick, wholeheartedly, only time will tell... until then, I'm going to stay with Justin. I love him.. he loves me.."
"Nick isn't going to give up on you, Tara" Kevin said, walking into the room. Kevin and AJ heard the whole conversation.
"I know he isn't, and that is just going to make things even harder..." Tara said, starting to get upset.
"You know, I seriously believe that your feelings for him are genuine.." Kevin said.
"Why do you think that, Kevin?" Mar asked.
"Cuz if her feelings for Nick really weren't genuine, she wouldnt be getting this upset over this the way that she is" Kevin said. AJ agreed with Kevin's opinion.
"Guys, I really cant take this right now..." Tara said. She got up and walked outside, Mar and Karine following close behind.
"Did you tell Justin about your decision?" Mar asked sympathetically.
"Yeah, he helped me make it.." Tara said honestly.
"Must have been after the party.. eh?" Karine asked.
"Yeah, when we went back to his house.." Tara said. Mar looked up at her.
"Tara, you and Justin... did you guys.." Mar looked Tara in the eyes.
Tara didnt say anything and Mar got her answer.
"You slept with Justin too?!?!?" Karine asked shocked.
"Wow, girl! Good Goin!" Mar said with a laugh.
"oh yeah, some achievement.." Tara said sarcastically.
"But this time, it felt more right.. you know? Since Justin and I have been together for a long time now.. and I love him, and I know my feelings for him aren't fan-based"
"Well.. yeah... " Mar said.
Karine was speechless and she didnt know what to say.
"Is there anything else you havent told me about?" Karine asked.
"no.." Tara replied.
"Guys, I really have to go.. I just want to get my life back on track, get things back to the way they used to be.." Tara said. She stood up off the patio chair and headed down the street.
"Where you going?" Mar shouted out.
"Home.." Tara replied, and kept walking.
