Johnny No Name Invades Detroit!
Well, it is now 1:45pm the next day...
I have just woken up to find 16 bruises on my arms and ribs and a huge gash on the back of my ankle.
It's all good though...
Cuz I can sum up the concert is just one word...
Uhhhhhhhhhhh!
OK, so that was just a sound...but if you have read "G-Speak the Language of the Diva's" you will totally understand!
The day actually started the night before.
Sandi and I called into DRQ to try and win backstage passes...
WE DID! It was awesome!
We never did go to sleep that night, we stayed up until we went down to the State Theater at 7:00 am!
We waited in the freezing cold for 11 hours.
But it again....was all good...
Because finally we got to go backstage to meet the man...the myth...my mentor...my inspiration...AJ!
I was so excited, to my surprise, as soon as I walked in, there stood Denise McLean (His mom...).
Some of you know that I had bought a gift for her almost a year ago, and said that one day I would get to give it to her in person.
I finally did!
I stopped her for a moment and said "Denise, this is for you."
She was so humble, and so cute!
She said "For me? But, I'm not the star!"
I told her "but, you are his mom, and you raised a wonderful young man."
She said thank you, andthen commented on how much she liked my jacket. (My tiger striped jacket)
I couldn't even look at AJ until I was called up to meet him.
I felt a certain calm about it all, and it was such a shock!
When I finally did get up there to see him, I was totally calm, he was totally sweet!
His road manager (who is a TOTAL HOTTIE! Uhhhh!) told him my name and AJ said "Hi Sweetie" and pulled me closer to him.
Sandi and I laughed that our faces never got more than 4 inches apart the entire time.
He rubbed my arm and said "Hey, I love your jacket. As a matter of fact, I own one just like it."
Then Sandi called us to take a picture.
We snuggled up close, I put my hand on his chest. I don't even remember the picture being taken, I just remember that I could feel his heart beating against my hand.
(I look absolutely terrified of him...I look like I am about to gag!)
Right after that picture was taken, I tried to back away, his arm still around me, and Sandi said "just one more?"
and he said "sure thing!"
He grabbed me real tight and hugged me, cheek to cheek, we had this picture taken.
Awwww....!!! Ain't We Sweet?
(His mom said I was 'such a sweet girl.')
(Betcha By Golly Wow! It's the hug that I've been waiting for, forever!
Look at the grin on my face...there is noplace I would have rather been at that moment!)
Good Things Happen To Good People!
I don't know if the camera had a malfunction or what, but it seemed as if we were like that for a really long time.
I actually felt myself begin to shake a bit, not bad, but obviously just enough for him to notice too, because he hugged me even tighter to him (I didn't think it was possible).
Finally, I took a step back, and looked at him and said "You smell SO GOOD."
To which he replied jokingly, "Well, you know, it is the first shower I have taken in 2 weeks, so..."
We both laughed and I lightly punched him on the arm.
Who? Me? A flirt? NEVER !!! LOL!
(Sorry, I just couldn't control myself...I blame AJ for EVERYTHING!!)

He has an incredible smile...I wish he would smile more in pictures!
Just before I went to walk away, Sandi asked if she could take a picture of me with AJ and Denise, which Denise gladly accepted to do.
I was standing next to AJ, he put his arm around me, and I looked over at Denise, ducked away from AJ (WHY?!?!?) and went over to the other side of Denise.
I looked at AJ and said "I just love your mom, I think I am gonna have to adopt her."
And they both laughed.
(My mom and sisters first reaction..."You look like you are related to her!"
Thanks guys! I will take that as a compliment!
Ummmm...WAIT! Me as AJ's long lost sister...Uh, no thanks! What is that word again?!?! Oh Yeah! Incest...LOL!
AJ asked if I had ever seen the show before, and I said that I hadn't and he said I was in for "a great time" and that he hoped I would enjoy the show.
Finally, it was Sandi's turn to get her picture taken.
She and AJ chatted for a minute, and the guy behind me kept saying "TAKE THE PICTURE"
I kept trying to get their attention.
Finally, I did, and I took a picture of them, as well as a picture of them with Denise.
Sandi came to get her camera.
I looked back at AJ and he smiled and waved to me and I just turned around and siad "I gotta get out of here." Leaving Sandi to do whatever she was doing in there (I dunno...she is still asleep!)
I was bombarded when I finally went back outside to the front of the line.
Lisa noticed that I was really quiet and said "Are you OK?".
And I replied "Yeah, just trying to let it all sink in."
I looked at her and said "he smells like sex."
I didn't mean it to be funny, it just kinda came out of my mouth before I thought about it, and everyone laughed.
We got to the front row on main floor and it was CHAOS!!
We were crushed and kicked, and punched, our hair pulled. It was bad!
Rhonda passes out the little glow sticks (the ones you put in your mouth) to Lisa, Sandi and I. Being the fact that I am totally orally fixated, I was all about the glowstick, all night!
Mindi and Nobody's Angel ROCKED THE HOUSE!
It was awesome!!
Finally 'Johnny' came out in Handcuffs!
Are you kidding me?!?!? HANDCUFFS?!?!?
Uhhhhhhh!!!! Nuff said!
The atmosphere was totally different that a BSB show!
Almost evil in a strange sort of way.
When he started Rage Against the Machine's "Killing In The Name Of" I almost lost my mind! That is one of my favorite songs!
His ability to change from hard hitting songs like that, to sweet ballads like "Back at One" by Brian McKnight was awe inspiring.
He has such versitality to his voice and his personality.
I totally couldn't believe it!
I am still in shock!
It was great to hear him sing things other that BSB songs!
Although, he did do a strange remix kinda thing of "Mr. DJ" and "Don't want you back".
The hot bouncers in front of me kept teasing me all night.
The one guy said "It is getting a little sticky here on the floor. How many is that for you tonight?"
Totally perverse, but just about true, the show was orgasmic!

'Johnny' was so damn funny! He cracked me up!
I would have to say that the show should have been rated PG-13, and it could have gotten SO MUCH WORSE! It had so much potential! I was praying for some real "NON-BSB" style raunch!
He did a great mix of songs including "Lay Down Beside Me" Uhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Before he sang it he said something like "Close your eyes, (long pause)and imagine me standing next to you (long intense, orgasm inducing pause) naked."
I almost passed out, I don't think I have ever let out such a gutteral "Uhhhhh" in my entire life.
I don't think he knows what he does when he says stuff like that!
I am sure that the majority of 14 year olds in the crowd had their sexual awakening that night!
His clothes were fantastic! If you have seen the show...WHITE SUIT! Good lord!
Sandi and I got a bit of interaction with him, most likely because he remembered us from earlier.
At then end, he came out with no shirt on and jeans.
You have never heard such ear piercing screams in all of your life.
He said "Johnny go bye bye, AJ say Hi Hi" - That was one of the best lines of the entire show! It was all in the way he said it!
He brought Nobody's Angel back out to sing "Brick House", which I had never heard him do live before, and it was great!
This show was phenomenal! You can only imagine if you haven't seen the show before! UNBELIEVABLE!

Most exciting moment of the show for me...
He stood in front of us...I don't even remember what song it was...but he stuck his tongue all the way out (He has a long damn tongue, which he actually did several times...I think he is orally fixated and needs a glow stick to keep that thing occupied! (Amanda...lucky, lucky woman!)
Anywhooo...I digress...
Ran his finger slowly all the way down his tongue with this looke in his eyes that literally stopped me from breathing.
I found myself gasping for air after that...I couldn't even scream! Whoa!
His little accent was so great! He even sang with the accent!
He was totally 'Johnny' and I think I am hotter for Johnny than AJ (if that is possible)...he is a bad boy! And I LOVE that!
Overall, I am floored with is performance!
From the comedy of him making fun of BSB and his own nick name, to the hard, evil, rock attitude, to the great accent and little bit of guitar playing.
Play That Funky Music White Boy!
And Play He Does So Well!
He took it up about 10 notches, blew the crowd away and I for one, considering myself not real easy to impress musically, he astounded me and left me wanting more...much more!
