THE OPENING ACTS!!!
The Following Acts Opened The Show For The Backstreet Boys!
I think they deserve a concert review of their own, as well as a little plug for album sales!*
For those of you who saw them on stage, you know they put one one hellava great live show!
It was non stop energy from beginning to end!
Sure, the music may take a bit of getting use to, I whole heartedly admit that!
Afterall, the first night, as I sat in the 2nd row, I wanted to cover my ears and scream, but their on stage antics at least kept me somewhat entertained. Everything from the hometown boy Eminem being copied to one of the guys being only half dressed...what was his name again?! Oh yeah! DAVE!! (*who with all humility aside lifts his shirt at every given opportunity to show off his impecibly chiseled abs!*)
But by the second night, again watching from the 2nd row, I began to get into the music a bit more. Still cheesey, but much more likable the second time around.
By the third night, it was all out havock, stuck all the way back in the third row, we all danced and sang our little hearts out along with Trey, Damon and DAVE!
The next afternoon, realizing that thier music was addictive and had grown on me tremendouly since the initial encounter, I made my way to the record store. Never needing to take a minute to remember the name of the group because the took every opportunity to sell it for all it was worth as "We're E.Y.C. - Express - Yourself - CLEARLY!" was mentioned several times during the half hour set.
Happily popping the CD into my car, I found out the entire CD is GREAT! From the sappy boy-band-eske ballads, to the body moving dance tracks, this CD is under recognized for its wonderful content.
Hopefully, being on tour with the Backstreet Boys will give these talented young guys a little recognition and respect...Just give it a chance, and I am sure you will agree!

I do believe that we all went to see the Backstreet Boys absolutely terrified to have to sit through yet another Britany Spears wanna-be screech into the mic for a half hour taking up precious time that could be allotted to our Boys.
I for one, was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! This 15 year old girl, though dressed in red leather pants, may actually be taken as a serious artist sometime in the near future! Her voice was amazing, and her range was to rival Mariah.
Those who know me, already knew this part was coming...
The dancers...WHOA! Hello Dominic! He needs to form his own band...no, nevermind...not a band...heck, he doesn't even have to sing! He can just stand there and look sexy for 2 hours for all I care! I for one would pay the price of admission just to see that! (And I am, as I go to see Mandy Moore again perform in Detroit at the Electric Kringle Jingle.) I think I summed it all up well to my friends as I said "That boy is WAY up there with AJ!" (and that is a TRUE compliment!). Whatever brings in the audience, right Mandy!
So props to Mandy for choosing such hot dancers, and also for putting on a stellar performance!
Her single "Candy" with several short song snip-its as the "b" side, has sold over 500,000 copies, and I expect her forthcoming CD to blow away all competition.
And I guess it helps that she speaks in a mature fashion and not as an airhead, who just giggles and trollops around like a porn star, which seems to be quite the easy and most traveled path to becoming a female teen pop star these days.
I think she has one thing really going for her that is very rare in young female talent these days...REAL TALENT!
Just one pointer for you Mandy...stay away from the plastic surgeon and you will quickly become the diva you have such incredible potential to be!
