This kit I found in a hobby shop in Sydney. The colour is Tamiya's Purple Metallic (MS-6). I lowered them and install 18" Zeit wheels from Fujimi. Disc brake from Fujimi.Roll pan and sun roof are scratch build. Front seats from Tamiya R32 Skyline GTR while the Steering wheel is from Tamiya's Celica Monte Carlo. Roll cage from Nissan Primera JTCC. Dual carb setup from AMT 57 Corvette. Add Nitrous Bottle and sway bar control for detail
When I first saw this kit, this one I must have. It's soo good. A Chevy Pickup with Corvette trailer. Everything included. But the price is unbelieveable. After patiently waiting, Finally bought it. The colour combo is taken from the box, which Metallic Grey (Tamiya TS-42, Light Gun Metal) for the C1500 and Purple/Silver combo for the 'Vette.
Chevy C1500 featured 18" BBS LM wheels, lowered, with Goodyear Eagle rear tyres and Pirelli Front. Front seat taken from Tamiya Land Cruiser 80 VX. Custom rear roll bar and spare wheels from Grand Cherokee.
57 Corvette uses Porsche 911 wheels with its original tyres. Steering wheel from Mazda 787B, seats from Tamiya Silvia S13
Actually this kit is built box stock, except the rear tailgate handle is removed to create a smooth look. But the additional body kit doesn't seem perfect fit, so putty was necessary. Front seats are from RX-7 and wheels and tyres from Mazda 787B. Body Color is Tamiya TS-31 Bright Orange
I bought this kit because a friend of mine wouldn't take it from the shop. He said go ahead you buy this kit 'cause I already take another one. I thought I already build several AMT kits, why didn't I try this one? I already build the S-10 pickup, then I try to build the wagon one (Blazer). First impression is this kit have very fine detail except the clear parts way too thick. I really like the Metallic Green/Light Gun Metal combo with Grey/Honey interior on the real car. So by the time i got the kit I immediately build that way. Wheel and tyres are from Aoshima Hilux Surf. The original AMT Axle hubs are slightly modified so Aoshima's wheel can be fitted. I also cut the roof to install sunroof. Others are build box stock.
