Some reflections on life developments are due.

This online journal has been running close 3 years now, looking back its been an interesting ride. Someday all of this text may come handy for some real reflections.

Insomnia came out, watched it as a default after finding out that the latest Lee Cataluna play at the Kumu Kahua theater was sold out. I was very impressed to say the least. Funny how some lines delivered by the worn Pacino character reminded me of someone. Recommend Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmeron anyday. Star Wars blows.

But of course I'm not just talking about good movies I've seen lately, thinking about this upcoming summer in anticipation. Monday spent assisting Coyne in a seminar for the PD's office, he light a fire under my ass by distributing copies of the research graphs we've been working on all year, hinting that any questions would be directed to me. Saw several of the PDs that I've come in contact with in Judge's courtroom, was impressed at the level of interagency cooperation that comes together. As it turned out I just handed out paper.

Makes me wonder about a future profession, say 4-5 years from now. Funny how I still can't quite imagine me trading in my khakis, faded rockports and aloha shirt for a three-piece. Guess considering where I'm headed, change is inevitable. Maybe its time.

Called Hanko, interupted a play rehersal up in Fukui. Hadn't heard from her in a while. Cheerfulness in her voice means that she's busy and in good health. Miss her.

Meanwhile I'm still debating about Okinawa. My brain is looking at my meager state worker's salary, mounting expenses for the next 4 years and anticipated loans; my heart tells me that I may not have a chance to go and visit for a while. At this rate I may start an Uchinanchu club in Madison. hehe.

Rei is in town, spent the weekend at my house, went out with Iso, Matt, Jess, Tiff and Harmony to maitais, met some interesting people as well. Drove out to Lanikai yesterday for the beach and hung out a bit. Her mom flew in this morning from Narita and I drove them to their hotel. might go cruising on the beach tonight in Waikiki.

Kind of nostalgic, playing tourist if that makes sense. Something to be said about a sense of place where you can feel like visitor even at home. Waiks has changed quite a bit since I was living here permenantly.

Just got my flight to Madison, was pretty steep, but with the new flight patterns and the airlines, I can't complain. funny thing was that the agency required cash only. lugged over a fat amount of bills from the ATM. School is pau, looks like I pulled off 2 "A"s at least. actually thinking that I stressed a little too much. would be cool to have a 4.0 at UH grad school going. meanwhile I've been introduced to some new areas of research.

Star Wars Episode II came out, it was okay. not very good acting, but what else to expect from a sequel of a sequel. watching Yoda fight with a light saber was pretty entertaining.

been thinking about Bukowski, sort of really. about drunken encounters with old friends and strangers alike, catching up on old times, old friends. Wonder if it is true about the new office.

a bit mind-grabbing. but not really. afterall its been a while since I gave this topic much thought. meanwhile life goes on. I got a little cocky on my Econ final, barely made the cutoff for an "A", according to my prof, I don't deserve it afterall, doing so well during the semester to slack off during the end. hehe.

have to say I learned a lot though.

been wondering whats in store for me in Wisco. Madison is calling me back apparently, although this time I am much more prepared and ready. May be there for 2 or 4 years depending. sometimes I wonder if I realy do picture myself as a legal professional. a little to anti-establishment really.

Been taking a break from the court for a bit, slow couple of weeks ahead of us. have to catch up work with Coyne. Had an interesting dream interpretation the other day. I wonder sometimes how much of it is subconscious really. symbolism and what not.

Looking into flights to Okinawa, thinking about paying a visit. kind of strange how much one can learn from books and articles.

Looks like an interesting summer ahead for me.
