So school is starting up again, I got an Econometrics class, an intro seminar to Policy Analysis, and two research/field work seminars. Might need to drop one of them, given the time commitments involved. Otherwise I'm pretty pumped for this semester, more interesting courses and valuable professional training.

Trying to get readjusted to Madison, the life of a student, and the friggin cold. supposed to be -35 with wind chills this morning, being that I don't have class on Thursdays and Fridays, I might just stay indoors for today. Need to find my scarf someplace.

Listening to this Shoukichi Kina cd, pretty neat. Wonder if I'll be able to make a can sanshin sometime this year. Realizing that I'm pretty much broke after my trip to Japan, will need to live a little pake for the next couple months or so.

AAP wants me to lead up a group study session for Soc 134, with 5-7 students. Another interesting opportunity, hopefully it works out.

Got back from Japan a couple days ago, pretty fun trip this time around as well. Got to explore Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto this time around for about a week. Already want to go visit again.

Being that I am short of server space on this geocities site, I've posted some of the picures on my mirror site.

So another year comes and goes, 2003 and we're still alive. even with the ensuing war and what not. Now it seems like N Korea is next on the list before Indonesia and the Phillipines. All this with the weapons inspectors saying that there isn't a reason for war. will have to see how this one turns out.

I ended up surviving the onslaught of grad school grads OK, not too bad, not too good either though. hopefully what the 2nd year Lafollettes have been saying is true, this should be my only questionable semester. hard classes I must add. Next semester should be interesting. Already looking forward to it.

getting a little excited for my trip to Japan, visit Aki and Rei, and Hanako? haven't heard from her in a while. I trust that things are well in Fukui. Otherwise it will be a nice change of pace, been checking out the currency rates recently, a bit lower than last year.

Meanwhile drama on the homefront, lets just say that I'll have to take some good advice and will have to let damsels rescue themselves. lord knows that I've had my share of the action, this one needs to be left to the fates. godspeed. heh.
