6 . 2 5 . 0 2 Went to the beach today, first time in a while. Funny how you live in Hawaii and hardly have time to make good of the surroundings. An irony of modern living, to pay the price of paradise, one has to succumb to the realist lifestyle of the 9-5. I think its only since I've realized that I won't be around in a couple months again that I had a need to enjoy the scenery. on a side note, of all the movies and films made of Hawaii, one of the most accurate depictions had to come from a Disney cartoon named Lilo and Stitch. Closing arguements tomorrow morning for the murder trial, been interesting seeing both the public and private aspects of a jury trial. Have to say that this year has been very informative about the makings of the Hawaii Criminal Justice System. In the midst of it all I think I'm getting a good prep for Law school when I go. Looking forward to September when my scholarship is supposed to kick in. I wonder how much of my stipend will they be cutting me for the first semester. Judge has a new extern for the summer, been great company during the breaks and discussions, giving me insight on what to expect as a L1 at whatever law school I end up in a couple of years. Mailed in my housing contract, ended up getting placed back in the good old merit house, although I hear that the Global Village is no more. pity, it really was a great experience that I think many other students would benefit from. |
