Ludlow

We live in a town that we're proud of
We are proud to call it our home.
We live in a town of beauty
That to many is widely known.

Where could be found another,
Which to this little place could compare?
If you searched the whole world over
You won't find it anywhere.

Not in beauty alone is her greatness,
For in that it could never live.
But with the unselfish cooperation
That the citizens so freely give.

She has never forgotten the poor ones,
As in sickness or distress;
But has always rendered a helping hand
With a loving cheerfulness.

To the pioneers of Ludlow,
We cannot in words repay;
But let's cherish their memory forever
In the sacred and only way.

Let us not forget in the future,
The struggles that they went through;
Let's pick up the torch where they left it
And carry it bravely and true.

We will cherish the name of Ludlow,
'Till we journey to some distant Star;
To that wonderful, endless bivouac
Where many of our comrades are.
