![]() Mickey in shadesOkay, there are a few special things about this particular pose. First, off it is my favorite Mickey Mouse pose. Second, this drawing qualifies as both a cartoon and a digital image, both in content and in implementation.I originally did this with pencil with the Chinese characters (incidentally, that's my Chinese name). I then inked it. I then scanned it as a monochrome image. This prevented much of the aliasing that occurs when you scan it as either a color or a black and white photograph. I then added color with Fractal Design Painter. By scanning it as a monochrome image, it allowed me to get harder edges between the white spaces and the lines. Which allowed me to setup selections and do more controlled coloring. I could have done it in a couple of different ways. I colored them in using shapes, which gave a really sharp, crisp edges between sections. I added the shadow effects with an airbrush under Painter. ![]() ![]()
