The Great North walk was suggested during the celebration of Australia's
Bicentennary by bushwalkers Leigh Shearer-Heriot and Garry McDougall and
is administered by CaLM (the Department of Conservation and Land Management).
It now stands as a showcase of Australia's beautiful bushland, while still
being accessible to all.
