Today was a bit of a lazy day for me. I kept waking intermittently all
morning. Pam doesn't have a clock in her bedroom,
so telling time is a bit of a chore. I normally resort to checking the
time on my pager, which is normally sitting somewhere nearby. It's not
like my place where I probably have about five clocks near by bed; half the
time I don't even have to roll over to tell the time.

I probably got out of bed around 2:30pm. Pam had
gotten coffee some time before and had kept the bedroom door closed, so I
wouldn't be disturbed. That was an incredibly sweet gesture. She also
prepared some things to make the remainder of our afternoon quite
    memorable. Details? Ha!

It was evening before we left her place. We had not had anything to eat
but warm chocolate chip cookies that she baked while I slept. We were both
pretty hungry. She suggested going to Dead Robin, since she had a
craving for a Blue Ribbon burger. We did have to run a couple of
    errands though.

We were seated in a small booth
one where we could not sit side by
side. Pam pouted. I suppose we compromise.
Whenever we sit across from each other, I massage her feet during dinner.
That seems to appease her. We had the cheese sticks for an appetizer,
which are deadly, but very good. She had her burger the way she liked,
medium if I remember correctly. I had the mushroom burger,
    medium rare.

She seems to be greatly amused by watching the way I eat
 the way I
seem to be able to eat a burger without making a mess, at least that's what
    she believes
the way I use my utensils. Frankly, I can't understand
    it.

We went to Ikea immediately after dinner.
I needed bookshelfs. Since we were driving her SUV, I figured that we
should take the opportunity. So off we went to buy furniture.

Pam had never been to Ikea, so she was greatly
amused. We wondered from one room setup to another, kissing on each couch.
She seemed to like the store quite a bit, enough so that she snuck one of
their catalogs out of the store. [Theif!]

She picked out a set of mirrors that she liked. She also had her eye on
this coffee chair that would fit well in her place. I think we
both decided that she should probably wait until she decides where she is
moving to, since her lease is up at the end of June.

We dropped off the bookshelves at my place, where I also fed Magic, who seemed to be in good spirits. He said
something about the Braves being in a winning streak
  He also
mentioned something about taking on some carpentry project and I asked him
not to do anything for a couple of weeks. Yes, I realize you guys don't
    believe me

I eventually did have to go back to work. I had some trailing
issues with this bug that I had to put away
and to clean up my place
for my dinner party next weekend. It's always something isn't it. We had
    talked about it; she understood.

I drove Pam back to her place where we spent the
remainder of the evening together. I waited until she was asleep before I
left. I kissed her goodnight and snuck out the door.

Things were good at work. I only had to spend about an hour there. I
updated the database with all the little tidbits of information that I had
managed to track down. I made sure that the problems were fixed, which
doesn't necessarily mean that we didn't introduce other problems. Software
development is funny that way. It's all a matter of calculated risks.

I did sent reminder mail about the dinner party. One that I bill as
Thanksgiving. The guest list is very long, although most people
did not reply. Of course, about half the people don't actually live in
Washington. Still, I promised them reminder mail by the 15th, and I'm days
    late.

    I suck.

I sent out the reminder mail and went home. Well, I stopped by the Taco
    Bell for some nourishment
 well, food anyway.
