![]() Mickey laughingI liked this pose when I first saw it, and I was drawing it to practice. I inked this one with marker as well. There are a couple of noteworthy elements to this particular drawing.First, note his exaggerated mannerisms. They seem natural for cartoons, but they would seem unnatural for humans. The converse is also true, to get a natural looking pose for a cartoon, you should exaggerate the pose a little. I had the privelege to attend a talk with "Frank and Ollie", two legendary Disney illustrators. They pointed this out. Second, is the use of red and yellow markers for additional colors. I found that markers do give an incredibly rich color, but is tough to control the amount of pigmentation. Also, the nature of markers is to soak into the paper; this makes mistakes irreversible. ![]() ![]()
